I stopped by this museum after visting the Capitol (within walking distance). There is a nominal $5 admission fee which is money well spent. I found the museum to be interesting and intriguing. I was inspired with the bead work on moccasins, head dresses, leggings and other pieces of apparel. The detailed work performed with primitive tools was amazing.
Even though I am not from Montana, I found the artifacts to be well labeled, exceptionally displayed and easy to peruse.
The newest addition of a military room was fascinating.
If you are traveling with children, there is a "touch area" for children.
Great museum and an opportunity to learn above life in days gone by.
