We took the guided tour as done by a history teacher/professor. It was an hour long and certainly could have been longer. He was very knowledgable. I/we see from other reviews that we didn't get to tour the Governor's wing? Would have been great.

Great stop while in Helena to learn a bit more of Montana. Nice tour of the Governor's wing of the Capitol coupled with overall tour is great.

The capitol is the old style state building, but with a unique flair. The entire building is very accessible, including the govenor's office. This may seem strange, but definitely check out the bathrooms. Also see the Russell painting in the Representative chamber. Tours are available as is a self guided walking tour with a brochure.

This is a beautiful building with Montana and the year spelled out in flowers in the front of it. Inside is lovely as well. Don't miss this!

We visited the capitol building and took the guided tour. There is a lot to see if you do the self guided tour but you will miss the bas relief of Lewis and Clark and also miss the mural by Charles M. Russell. The stained glass throughout the building is stunning!
