Helena has so much to see. The first thing we did was to take this train/trolley tour. Our tour guide was a teacher and had much knowledge of the city. The cost was $14 for two adults. We boarded right across from the capitol building & in front of the Montana Historical Society. There was plenty of parking nearby. The best things of Helena you will see on this tour – the beautiful capitol, the Cathedral of St Helena, Reeder’s Ally, the original & current governor’s homes, many beautiful historical homes & much more. It doesn’t matter what you age is – there were children up to folks in their 80’s. Everyone enjoyed the tour.
Get your ticket well ahead of time. We purchased our ticket and then spent some time in the museum while waiting for the tour to start.
