It is a soothing and sometimes exciting float! There are shuttles in the small towns that dot the Wolf Creek corridor all the way to Cascade. Fishing is the real treat, but kayaking it can be fun as well.

Anyone who appreciates the history of this country and the explorations of Lewis and Clark needs to explore the Missouri River here is Montana. From Three Forks headwaters, though the Gates of the Mountains and the Great Falls, the river is beautiful, sparkling and inspiring.

I cannot believe how beautiful this river is while we visited Helena National Park. It is tremendously gorgeous. Fish weren't biting but I enjoyed the river.

The Missouri River seemed to be everywhere we went in Montana. I could picture the Native Americans along the shore fishing or perhaps a bear searching for a snack.

The Missouri in Montana has hundreds of miles of easily floatable experience. People who are looking for floats that last from one day to a week (with tent camping on the banks) will love this river. Look up the Missouri Wild and Scenic River on Google!
