I have eaten here several times, and I agree the food is hit and miss. The ground sirloin with wine gravy and mushrooms is very good. The Italian pot roast is a unique taste for pot roast and may be an acquired taste. The dinner bread is average at best. The waitresses always seem attentive to your needs, whether refilling beverages or removing dirty plates. The longest wait is for paying the bill. It is just faster to pay at the bar on your way out.
The restaurant has a good atmosphere. The main level is a combination dining area and sports bar with several TVs. There is a lower level which may be quieter and more relaxing. If you like to eat outside, they have a patio with an adjacent pond and fountain. The bar has 6-10 beers on tap.
The Spice of Life in Hamilton has better food, but the Edge is a good second choice. If you want a burger, go to Naps.
