We had a room with 2 queen beds and asked for a cot. No problem.
Excellent room facing the river. Very comfortable and quiet.
The free breakfast was way more than I expected with biscuits and sausage gravy, hard boiled eggs, waffles, cereal etc etc. Even had something for the picky 17 year old - waffles and strawberry sauce with whipped topping.
The breakfast staff was extremely friendly as was everyone else in the place.
I won't look any farther for a great place to stay in Great Falls. I will stay there again, no question.

We spent one night at this hotel, and found the service to be great and the hotel perfect for what we needed. Nice king size bed and great TV. There was a HS state track meet on in Great Falls and many stayed at the hotel. Did not hear any noise whatsoever. We will return to this hotel. Make sure you get a river view......and the blowing of the train whistle during the night was a very minor inconvenience for the overall stay.

Nice hotel and clean. Check in was a little slow because it was a busy night and only one person working. The front desk lady was very nice and informative. I liked that the hotel was on the banks of the river by a walking path. Very nice after an 8 hour car ride with young kids and a dog. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. I would stay here again.

In October 2009, my husband and I left Milwaukee, Wisconsin to move to Edmonton, Alberta. So it was a LONG trip. In the car, we had a cat in a carrier and a Great Pyrenees in the backseat. It was a challenge finding lodgins that would accept 2 pets (with such a large dog). Many of them have weight limits. But the folks at the La Quinta were super friendly, and let me know that they were excited to meet Fargo when he arrived.

The room they gave us was super spacious and comfortable. We were at the end of the first floor corridor, near the other exit, which made it really convenient for loading and unloading luggage, and for taking said dog out for his morning constitutional along the river, which he really enjoyed (new smells!).

The breakfast was extensive and most of it was good. The coffee was just meh, and the egg puck things were kind of bland. They need some flavor, and they need better heating. Ours were just lukewarm. But there was good variety-- waffles, toast, bagels, yogurt, fruit, etc.

We ordered from the MacKenzie River Pizza Company next door and they even brought it to our room, which was nice. All in all, a very pleasant experience. We'll keep it in mind if/when we cross back over the border.

Don't stay here is it is for an extended visit unless you are rough & ready and have VERY little need for a kitchen/cooking.
Ok.......get some rooms with a full-sized fridge/freezer, dishes, utensils, pots & pans...
I am looking around the motel where I am living now; there is a toaster, TUPPERWARE for my use.........
Neat things for a person LIVING here - not just spending one or two nights........
And this survey is not up to speed. Like, for instance - would i recommend this hotel to a friend? Yes AND NO! I'll just put yes because I did appreciate most of the staff......

The employees were so pleasant here, especially the gal in charge of breakfast. We enjoyed the hot tub and the nice walking trail behind the hotel. We didn't pay extra for the river view and glad we didn't because it was pretty much blocked my trees. The pizza place next door was also Great!
