Great Harvest Bread CO
Ranked #2 of 6 Bakeries in Great Falls
Cuisines: American
Description: "This is the original Great Harvest Bread--that started the entire whole wheat bread phenomenon in the 1970's. They grind their own Montana wheat, make it by hand there every day. Breakfast goodies are to die for and the sandwiches for lunch are spectacular. Nothing measures up to Great Harvest for real bread and the ultimate flavor experience with no junk added".

Really nice place. We ordered sandwiches to go, although they do have a few small tables if you want to eat in. The sandwiches were very tasty and filling and made on their fresh bread. We couldn't resist a couple scones to have for dessert. Yum! Fair warning though. It is nearly impossible to go in there and not come out with a loaf a their amazing bread.

Their sandwiches are really good. I had the roast beef and provolone that was toasted. It was very good. The Ginger Snap cookies are the best I have ever eaten. Brownies are also really good. It they have raspberry coconut batter bread we get 3 or 4 loves, it is that good. We always get the sourdough bread when it is available. We usually get 8-10 loaves of bread at a time as we live 100 miles from here. It freezes very well. Also, our dog loves the dog biscuits they make. The garlic cheese bread is not my favorite but they have other choices that more than make up for it.

We ordered 2 sandwiches and both were terrific. They had a large assortment of breads to choose from. The sauce they use depends on which meats are ordered.
I also ordered a cinnamon roll which was excellent.
Since we are traveling, we went back the next day and ordered sandwiches for the road as well as another cinnamon roll. Again it was fresh and tasty.

We had ham, cheese panini with tomato, red onion and lecture. It was freshly made and really nice. This place had variety of healthy bread and cinnamon roll was delicious. It was quite expensive though.

Came in based on the great reviews so I was pretty disappointed. Tried the garlic cheese bread, although it smells really good it was very bland and really dense and heavy bread. Not to my liking at all, especially for $7 a loaf.
