On this trip we over-dosed on Lewis and Clark, visiting three interpretative centers. This was the largest and by far the best. It was staffed by knowledgeable volunteers and contained wonderfully organized and interesting exhibits. Two different films were offered during our visit. The site is on the Missouri River and one can take an elevator to a paved walk which leads to its banks.

We circuited most all the sites from KC MO To Glacierto billings and all of Momtana. We thought this was the best. Make sure you get the audio tour. We enjoyed it very much.

This covers the entire Lewis and Clark expedition - from outfitting in Philadelphia to the Pacific Ocean and back again. An amazing and very well thought out and put together center. Over looks the Missouri River on a bluff in Giant Springs Heritage State Park. Great film on the portage issues faced; not things us modern people ever think of! The docents were wonderful and went out of their way to make sure questions were answered. A lot of hands on activities - and quite kid friendly. Make sure you then take the short drive to view the falls around the Center. A lot of parking, handicap acceptable. A fee, but National Park passes accepted.

We just walked the grounds and trail. We got to see only a small part of the center inside as we were there for a talk after hours. Wished we had more time to see all of the center. The grounds & trail have several information boards that were very interesting.
