Kind of thought is would be boring but it was very interesting and informative. It has a great theatre with short movies throughout the day. The exhibits are awesome - many are interactive. Not to mention the great views of the Missouri River. Wish we had more time.
If you have a Senior in your group, with a National Parks pass, it's no charge for up to 4 people. The Rangers at the center are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

Very nice exhibit about the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Very child-friendly with hands-on exhibits and the Junior Explorer Badge you can receive after completing a journal. Hike on the outside trail to Giant Spring State Park and the fish hatchery, your kids will love it!

I actually thought I'd be bored going here but it was totally opposite.... Very interesting with unique displays and interactive.... Lots of interesting information.... I agree with the comments below, well worth it... And VERY inexpensive at $8 per adult. Nice place to take photos as well...Make sure you walk around outside they have walkway at side/rear of building which is quite nice....

Much information about the expedition and the challenges it experienced in the Great Falls area. A very nice facility with informative displays and programs.

We echo the previous reviews PLUS add that when we visited in July 2010, we enjoyed interpretive talks all day long (a Saturday). The volunteers were fantastic speakers and very informative. They have an age appropriate Junior Explorer program that engaged the kids and kept them "exploring" the exhibits. We wound up spending two hours more than we'd planned. Your National Park annual pass gets your party in free, too!
