The staff here is excellent. They were very welcoming. The breakfast was a notch above the everyday Choice Hotel breakfast. The room were clean and they had a/c which isn't found in a lot of hotels in that area. It was a few minutes outside of the park so it was pricey but worth it.

We stayed here for 2 nights during June while visiting Yellowstone N.P. good front desk staff, quick, efficient and friendly, elevator was quite a way from the entrance which could cause an issue as there is only one baggage trolley. Rooms were the usual Comfort inn, well presented and clean, with coffee making facilities. We dined at the hotel resteraunt on the first evening, food was okay but we felt it was overpriced. We ,ate out on the second evening.
Breakfast was the continental affair, the dining room was heaving with people all trying to get fed, there was no one clearing tables so the place was a total mess, it was almost a free for all.
The location is okay for Yellowstone, being 5 mins from the entrance, and with all the stunning scenery around you you soon forget little issues, and they were only little issues. I would stay here again if in the area, in fact we tried to extend our stay for another couple of nights, without luck. We moved across the road to another hotel.

Yellowstone is expensive, and this hotel is no exception to that rule. However, it has some rustic charm in the lobby and it's an acceptable option to get you close to Yellowstone without staying inside the park. We got a suite and were surprised to find it had no microwave. My wife took the popcorn down to the lobby to find one there, only to be told there wasn't one -- only suites have microwaves. My wife told him we had a suite, but he said family suites don't have microwaves either! If you can figure out the logic behind that service decision, you're smarter than me! My kids didn't have popcorn that night, but otherwise our stay was fine. Breakfast was great, much better than most free hotel breakfasts.

Enjoyed the rustic log furniture in the rooms. Clean rooms, friendly staff and excellent breakfast. While the rooms were somewhat less expensive than the hotels in Yellowstone, don't pay extra for mountain view. Our "mountain view" was mostly the canopy over the main entrance and several neighboring buildings obscure the view of most 1st and 2nd floor rooms.

Room Tip: Don't pay extra for mountain view.

We just spent four nights in this hotel. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and the breakfast is great! We ate at the restaurant one night (it was a little funny, since it's in the same place as the breakfast area). The food at the restaurant was the best we had in town and the young waiter was so kind and efficient. The reason I marked it a 4 out of 5 is due to the cleaner that they must have been using. My son described it as smelling like "pepper." It was a strange smell, but we kept the fan/A/C on and that seemed to help. Otherwise, you can't beat it, being so close to the entrance and Mammoth.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We greatly appreciate our guests feedback. We instantly went and investigated the strange "smell" in the room. Thank you, again.

We are big fans of Comfort Inns and this one was one of our favorites. When I found out what the Lodges in Yellowstone were charging, this one was a bargain. The Inn is all rust ic furniture and decor, but has all the modern conveniences. location is wonderful-1 mile to the North Entrance of Yellowstone. We had no trouble with the WiFi although it was a little slow. Given the locale, this did not seem all that surprising. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We arrived late the first night and ate at the restaurant in the Inn. Although the menu is limited, the chef was very good. We are from the Washington DC area so it is not like we have no means of comparison. We took the Yellowstone in One Day tour the next day through the Park services, which was also great. They picked us up at the Inn. Again, we were too tired to go out and had some good drinks and food in the restaurant again. Our experience was very good so I was surprised at some of the other reviews. Just one complaint-those rock hard sausage patties for breakfast have been replaced at other Comfort Inns with juicy sausages. Just sayin'.

I am glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Our furnishings and decor are definitely different from most other Comfort Inns. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for the compliment on our restaurant and pub. Also, thank you for the tip on the sausages. I will look into what other Comfort Inns are serving. I hope we can provide accomodations for you again in the future.
