“MOST AWESOME!!”
Reviewed August 15, 2011

I would give this 10 15 20 stars if I can!! Greg is a most wonderful host and takes his time out for everyone. He is so very knowledgeable about the park and the whole area. He made the little amount of time we had very worthwhile. The Basin Inn is absolutly adorable. The view is incredible. We had the "honeymoon suite" and it was just beautiful! If i could've found a way to get the bed down the stairs and into my car I would. It was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on! it was well needed after a long day at Yellowstone. The breakfast was always delish! Hands down next time we plan a trip, the Yellowstone Basin Inn is in our plans. We talked about Greg and the stay a lot on the way back home. It was very very memorable.

The Inn is situated on top of a hill with a nice view. We stayed in 2 rooms and each one has its own theme and personality. The rooms are impeccably clean with new furnitures that complement the decor. Hot organic breakfast that vary each day are served along with pastries, oatmeal, cereals, coffee and tea. It is very satisfying and fuels us up for the rest of the day.
The best compliment is attributed to the owner /manager, Greg. He runs a tight ship making sure every thing is in order. He helped us plan our day, gave us insights so as to maximize the enjoyment of our stay not only in Yellowstone Park but the entire state of Montana.
Our family had fun learning how to rope a calf. It was challenging and entirely a whole new experience.

Greg and his staff were awesome hosts. It was a family vacation with 3 empty nester couples, 1 couple with college kids and 2 other sister-in-laws and one daughter with her husband and grandchild.

The accomodations were exceptional and exceeded the pictures on the website. Breakfast was cooked by Olga, who did a great job of providing delicious unique breakfasts as well as standard fair.

Greg did a great job of providing new ideas for seeing the park and the tetons. Our family had been to Yellowstone 10 years ago when the kids were little, so had some ideas on what we wanted to do. The rest of the brother and sister-in-laws had never been to the area. Greg gave good insight into highlights or off trail views, such as the view of the Grand Prismatic, Mammoth Falls, good viewing spots for animals (we did see a couple of grizzlies), restaurant ideas. These are just a few examples.

We would heartily recommend the Yellowstone Basin Inn and if we go back again, it would be the first place we would look to stay at.

Room Tip: for larger families, the 3 bdr suite and 2 rooms upstairs is a great setup

Stayed in Suite 5, upstairs with balcony. Two spacious rooms. Very clean. View from the balcony is overwhelmingly beautiful. Stars at night were awesome. The hosts are very pleasant and eager to give trip suggestions. They teach kids how to lasso for fun from a little staging area in front of the Inn. A river runs below the inn and when the highway below is free of cars you can hear the river roaring. Ample breakfast is served. The Inn is about 5 miles from the northern entrance to Yellowstone and serves as a nice base to take day trips into the northern loop of the park. Excellent value. We would definitely like to return!

Room Tip: Recommend Suite 5, upstairs with 2 rooms and balcony.

The Inn is great, however the staff is even better. Greg provided us with places and things to do we would have never considered. He took time to outline sites on our map that were fantastic. Overall everything was OUTSTANDING, and the breakfast the morning we left was the best we had during our trip. A stay here will definetly be one of the highlites of any trip.

This is a very nice property in the beautiful Paradise Valley. The owners are very helpful and sit down personally with guests to discuss sightseeing preferences, even marking a map of Yellowstone National Park with personal suggestions and advice for best sights, lightest crowds and convenient parking.

I stayed here in July of 2011 and this place was amazing. Greg and Sabina(the inn owners) were extremely helpful. They told us about woderful places that only locals know about, how to beat the crowds, and places to avoid at all costs. This place was clean and far beyond our expectations. They are just north of Gardiner but well worth the drive. Me and my family will be staying here again. Looking forward to our next trip to Yellowstone!!!!
