I stayed at the Absaroka Lodge on Aug. 26, 2006. This was the plainest motel room I have ever been in. It had 1970's decor. There was no artwork or pictures on any of the walls. There wasn't even an alarm CLOCK! It had basic cable only...the premium station had been eliminated. No matter what floor you were on you had to climb stairs (even on the ground floor). The beds were older and too soft for my liking. There was no iron. The smallish balconies were ok, but the higher your floor, the smaller your balcony. The rate on this room was $95 plus tax. It was worth about $59. I felt like it was a rip-off. Two days after I stayed there I wrote a letter to the owner telling her how disappointed I was . She didn't even have the courtesy to respond. I certainly would NEVER recommend this property.
