Food was awesome and the location, antique signs, and decor was awesome! If you like antiques and an outside place to eat with a view of the Yellowstone River this is the place for you.

“Really good for a really small town!”
Reviewed July 22, 2014

We were completely undecided as to where to eat dinner in this very small town, but across the bridge we could see that the deck of a restaurant was full of people so we decided to go. When we approached the building it looked like a giant tin wearhouse. The scene inside was incredible—full of mountain relics, lots of old wood and lots of unorganized business. We looked at the menu and because they had ribs and baked potatoes we decided to stay! We felt sorry for the hostess because there were more people who kept coming in than there were tables for and people were told to wait on picnic benches adjacent to the outside tables on the deck. The problem was when those people saw an empty table they would take it, instead of being seated by the hostess. Most of them were “caught” and asked to leave the table. Aside from the hustle and bustle inside, the tables on the deck were wonderful. We did order the ribs AND the absolutely delicious nut crusted rainbow trout. Do not miss that! The bartender did a great job on the lemon drop martini’s and our waiter was attentive and friendly. This is not inexpensive, but it is worth every penny. The only thing on the plate that was inedible was the corn on the cob. It was really tough and chewy. Ask f you can substitute for something else. This is a different place and interesting experience!

“Great Microbrews, Food and Aptmosphere”
Reviewed July 22, 2014

This is a classic western bar and the perfect place to relive that day on the Yellowstone or day in the park. They have a great selection of micro brews and the Scottish Ale is recommended. Good selection of bar food including elk and buffalo burgers. They have a deck overlooking the Yellowstone River; just don't sit on the rail; its a long drop.

Prompt service, full bar, and good food. Location is the best with a huge deck overlooking the Yellowstone river. Bison burger was one of the best I have ever eaten.

“Boiling hot inside and server horrible”
Reviewed July 21, 2014

Stopped in here to have a couple of drinks after rafting upon recommendation of rafting guides. It was boiling hot inside, even with all the doors open. Final world cup game was on and server was much more interested in watching game than serving us. Order a couple of apps and beer and soda. Server NEVER came back to check on us after dropping off food. We couldn't even find him. I had to go to bar to get soda refills. My husband wanted another beer, but again, couldn't locate server to get one. Paid bill and got out of there. Won't be back. Maybe they treat the locals better than the tourists (since it was recommended to us by locals), but it was the only place we went during 2 weeks of vacation that wasn't welcoming.
