We were a family party of 8 who took a half day trip in the afternoon with YRC. Cory was our guide. The whole experience was fantastic for our guests who were visiting Yellowstone for the first time from the east coast. Their two teenagers had smiles a mile wide for the rest of the day and next. The trip starts off with a bang with good rapids hit shortly after the launch. It was thrilling and beautiful with lots of interesting scenery. Cory's stories were entertaining and he was intent on seeing we had a great time. Be prepared to get wet so leave cameras, belts, and other things behind or put them in the raft wet bag. Glasses should all be attached to you with croakies or similar. The get-in and get-out carrying the raft requires some agility as does the paddling so I wouldn't recommend it for those heavily overweight or with serious health issues, but the average Yellowstone area visitor shouldn't fear it and will treasure the experience. YRC has a photographer posted along the road who will take great shots of your trip.
