We stayed at Yellowstone Village Inn, Gardiner MT while visiting Yellowstone National Park and found the accomodations clean, quiet, and reasonably priced for the area. Their free breakfast of muffins, toast, bagels, juice, coffee, and tea was simple but adequate for our needs. We would highly recommend staying there. And just as their ad shows, we saw elk in the front yard in the evenings. The room we had provided nice views of Electric Mountain and rolling hills. It was less than 1 mile to Roosevelt Arch and the North entrance to Yellowstone National Park.

For being right outside a national park, this was a pretty good
deal. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff. The decor
is a little "retro" western - definitely more interesting than your
bland chain hotel. Breakfast was the basic bagel/toast/
muffin/juice and coffee spread that needs to be taken back to your room - not a problem for us. Having checked out other hotels in the area, this one is probably the best.

This hotel was clean, comfortable and affordable. The hospitality of the staff was wonderful. Located near the north entrance of Yellowstone, it's a convenient place to stay. Would recommend to anyone!

Wireless Internet - yes
Room was nice and clean, and the host was nice. I checked every available hotel in Gardiner, and they had the best price ($95). Make sure and book your room early – I booked it in May which was probably a little late..
The breakfast nook had bagels, toast, muffins, coffee, powdered cream, orange/apple juice no milk & no cream cheese (we brought our own).
For those with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS): The pool is in a completely closed off area – this is good since the chlorine smell doesn’t permeate the hotel- There is fairly pungent Sage Odor in the summertime, which may or may not be a problem with you.
We’d never been to Yellowstone before, and If I was to do this again, I’d probably get a campsite somewhere South of Madison, so it wouldn’t take so long to go down to the Grand Tetons. That’s where the Moose are. The best spotting times are around Dawn to10A, and 6:30 to dusk. In Yellowstone, there’s plenty of Elk, Bisons, Antelope, Bears, and Foreign Tourists, and at least 1000 Harley Davidsons (I think there was a biker’s convention going on or something). The best time for spotting the Harley’s was late morning through til’ dusk. They travel in varying sized herds (flocks?) ranging from 2 to about 20. DO NOT APPROACH THEM, THEY WILL BITE.

My husband and I stayed here two nights in early June 2007 (BTW, yes, it does snow in Yellowstone in June). Good hospitality, friendly staff. Lots of kitschy western art all over - lifesize cutouts of John Wayne and James Dean, photos old and new of local scenes, ropes and lariats, nifty bison wallpaper borders - making the "Motel 6-like" generic building something at least a little different! Other than that, fairly standard but more than adequate for us. Very clean. Continental breakfast little more than muffins, toast, juice and coffee so big breakfast fans beware.

My husband and I took a motorcycle trip through Yellowstone Park and stayed at the Village Inn in Gardiner, MT. It is only 5 miles from Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone Park. While traveling there, we saw a black bear, moose, elk, deer, wolf, buffalo, and big horn sheep. It was fantastic!

We were so tired and sore when we got to the hotel. There was a rodeo going on right in the back yard and we worried it would be really noisy. We just wanted to relax and enjoy our evening.

We went to the pool and were the only two there. It was peaceful, quiet, clean, and WONDERFUL!

Our bed was comfortable, the staff friendly, and we were very happy!

Thanks for a great stay!

Excellent. Rooms where clean and comfortable. Ample continential breakfast and it is family orientated.

Although we where there in the spring of the year and many of the shops and resturants where closed for the season the staff more than made up for this. They led us onto a group of wildlife photographers and we were able to observe the wild wolves in their habitat from the road way with these people thru high powered binoculars and telescopes. Made the trip worthwhile.

Will stay again in 2007 on our way up to the north country for another adventure.
