“Good place for the park exploring”
Reviewed July 6, 2012

Thumbs up for this little hotel/motel. Yeah its a bit expensive for what it is but its run like a well oiled machine. The manager left us a little card saying thanks for staying with us on our bed before we even arrived! Breakfast in the morning has some yummy muffins plus eggs and sausages, etc. Our room was clean and we slept pretty well.
Don't expect a 5 star resort, don't expect grand views of the park but its quick/easy to get to the park. You are in the adorable town of Gardiner which is like a wild west movie set.

As every hotel in Gardiner is, this Travelodge is overpriced. But that's the price you pay for being so close to the north entrance of Yellowstone. All in all, this is the nicest Travelodge I have stayed in. The rooms are clean and comfortable, although they are smaller than most hotel rooms I've stayed in. Service is excellent. Breakfast is typical: muffins, bagels, cereal, eggs, juice.

My husband (59) and I (55) are here two nights. Such a nice hotel I just had to write my first review ever. I'm a former flight attendant and have stayed at many hotels over the years. Super nice front desk people. Todd checked us in. He went out if his way to give us lots of local information about restaurants and white water rafting. Our room was great. Clean. Modern. Fresh. Fabulous view. Room 405. Top floor facing the mountains. All rooms face mountains. The room included a full hot breakfast which they kept stocked. Happy to share this info.

We last stayed at this hotel about 8 years ago when it was run by Motel6.
The hotel has been totally revamped with upgraded rooms, free Wi-Fi and complimentary breakfast.
My wife is disabled so it was good to find they had thought about little things like providing a night light in the room to assist with getting about without having to switch on main lights all the time.
It is ideally placed for access to Yellowstone being within a mile of the parks North entrance and there are also lots of local places to eat to suit all tastes and budgets.

Situated on the edge of town, it has easy access to local shops and restaurants. The room was clean and functional.
Mine had a mini fridge in, but I had to turn it off at night as it was very noisy.

The biggest benefit was is proximity to Yellowstone. It is only 10 minutes away from Mammoth hot springs.
Expensive for the standard of the rooms, remember, you are paying for the location and not the quality of the accommodation

We stayed at this hotel on June 16th after looking at reviews on TripAdvisor. We loved it! What a pleasant surprise! They go above and beyond to make your stay a great one! Staff was super, cleanliness outstanding, great bed, decor and amenities very nice! Hubby said breakfast was good also.
The view outside our room the next morning was wonderful!! Took pictures! and there were 4 deer across the street!
Would highly recommend this great hotel- give it a try when in Gardiner! We have been to Gardiner 3 times and this is the BEST one yet! You won't be disappointed!

There are many hotels in the town of Gardiner, since it is right at the North entrance of Yellowstone. The Travelodge is located on the highest street in town, so the view is truly breath-taking. Make sure you get a south-facing room! The owners left a hand-written thank you note in our room, how thoughtful! Nice breakfast with areas inside and outside. Spotless room, comfy beds!
