The breakfast was amazing! They make a homemade breakfast including scrambled eggs, rosemary potatoes, biscuits with or without gravy, french toast sticks, plus all of the normal continental breakfast items such as bagels, toast, cereal, juices etc. It was wonderful and included in the price! You would pay at least $6 per person to eat like that anywhere else in the town. The staff were very friendly and when eggs ran out almost at the end of breakfast, the male staffer asked if anyone wanted more and made a whole new batch. The room was clean and the beds were comfy. The shower in the bathroom was spacious and had a small seat. It is very close to a Yellowstone Park entrance gate, maybe a couple miles. It was about $125 total with taxes, one of the cheapest in the area, but I would have paid more just for the service! We will definitely stay there again if we ever come back to Yellowstone.

Pros

Great breakfast buffet!
Comfy bed, nice and clean
Near yellowstone north entrance
Affordable and great value

Cons

Internet unsecured and a fairly watered down connection. But this is to be expected in a remote area. It is free and was enough for basic use etc

As a bonus they play all the yellowstone DVDs on channel 23. My dad was occupied all night!

We stayed in Gardiner for the first time - before we had stayed in West Yellowstone. Gardiner is so close to what we really love about Yellowstone - Lamar Valley, Mammoth area. The Travelodge was very clean - even the laundry room was spotless. Towels were fantastic - and plenty of them. The staff were about the most friendly we've ever known. They were so helpful in any questions we had about the area, etc. We didn't understand how to turn on the heat in the room one evening, and the owner came to our room and showed us how. He even stayed and chatted for a while. VERY NICE. Another touch was the personally written thank you note from the owner that was in our room upon arrival. We took a picture of the couple who run the front desk and breakfast because they are so nice we didn't want to forget them. They made us promise not to put the picture on line so we won't, but they are super people!!!

We stayed here last year and we were very pleased with everything. However, they made some changes to the rooms, all new bed decor, and improved the breakfast and I didn't think that was possible. This year they have an egg scrambler and potatoes! Wow! I just want to say thanks for a great time and a great place to rest after a busy day in Yellowstone.

We missed the camping site reservation at yellowstone and were looking for a place to stay for a night. Travelodge is kind of away from main street so it was never our first preference but smelly rooms at other places forced us to check this place.
Their rates are nice, being away from main street actually helps with the view. we saw ELKs grazing from the room window.
The facilities were great. cleans rooms with a nicely maintained bathroom. Shower was great.

the serve a nice breakfast for free with lots of stuff, like multiple type of cereals, eggs, potatoes, muffins, juices, tea, coffee, fruits, jams, jellies, cream cheese... I do not remember rest but there were 5 things more.

the staff was facilitating and polite. I forgot who checked us in but Cindy was there in the morning and gave a lot of information about the place.

Great place.

Room Tip: Top floor for best view. there is elevator
