Yellowstone is known for it's pristine beauty, nearly undisturbed wildlife, and terrible food. While dining in a sub-par establishment, we happened upon diners who were similarly underwhelmed with the food on their plates. They had been in the Gardiner area for a bit, and mentioned how they'd enjoyed their supper at Lighthouse. We thought we should give it a try, so reservations were made. What a treat! It was nearing the end of their season, and though they were short-staffed, the service did not lack in professionalism, kindness, slight sass (which was appropriate for our group), and happiness to accommodate those of us with menu questions. From the first bite of the appetizer, to the last of the dessert, we were more than pleased with all that filled our over-stuffed selves. Without hesitation, we were set on celebrating our last meal on vacation with Lighthouse. Again, we were overjoyed and over-filled with our experience (including a couple of us who had vegan dietary needs). If we find ourselves heading to Yellowstone again, we are sure to be dining at Lighthouse Restaurant as often as we are able.
