One call and you can set up anything from a quick float down the river to a complete vacation that includes lodging and an awesome activity package. Our activities include White water or Scenic Rafting, Horseback Rides, Fly Fishing, Park Tours and even shopping at our Camp Store. Above all else, we are best known for our friendly staff and excellent customer service. We love sharing the adventures of the Yellowstone area with our guests...And it shows! Many years ago, the Flying Pig got its start with whitewater rafting, and that is still the premier event today. In addition to whitewater trips, we also offer scenic floats for those who want to sit back, relax and soak in the views. Looking for a true Montana experience at a horse ranch? The Flying Pig offers horseback rides at a beautiful privately-owned alpine ranch just a few miles above town. The fun continues inside Yellowstone Park with Park Tours and Fly Fishing. In fact, we can take you fishing in some of the best trout rivers and streams in North America. We have also expanded to a second store location at 204 Park Street in Gardiner, where we offer a full complement of camping, hiking, fishing and apparel. “a roarin good time”
Reviewed July 1, 2014

our group was a little concerned by the big white water after all the rains but this rafting company is experienced and turned it into one of the funnest days I've had in a long time. I want to thank Alex for making us all feel so comfortable but also for not letting us chicken out. I'll be back!

“Best Family Experience Ever!”
Reviewed July 1, 2014

We planned a "once in a lifetime" trip out west this summer and wanted to add some adventure to our experience. Through TripAdvisor, we stumbled upon an adventure company with an interesting name - The Flying Pig Adventure Company". Upon my first interaction with Steve, the owner, I knew this was going to be great! Our family of seven (children ages 10 - 16) is made up of some individuals who prefer the "tamer" side of life and some that are adrenaline junkies. Steve made sure all of us would be happy on our adventure!

We booked a two night adventure that included both horseback riding and white water rafting. We checked into the shop and were welcomed with a smile. They handed us a map to our first stop at Hells a Roarin' Ranch and off we went! We arrived at the ranch, checked into our large cabin (fully stocked with toiletries and kitchen essentials including coffee!) , and headed off on a horseback ride out into the most beautiful scenery we've ever seen. Our 2 1/2 hour ride took us over mountains, through a forest and across creeks and streams. Our guide, Andy, was great! After our ride, Aimee (whose family owns the ranch) visited with us a bit before dinner. We enjoyed a delicious steak meal with a few other families, a bonfire and then retired to our warm, cozy cabin. A fun end to a memorable day. Breakfast was also wonderful, then we were off for another amazing ride.

After packing up, we headed back to Gardiner for the rafting portion of our adventure. Our guides, Kate and Evan, were nothing short of wonderful! Our safety, comfort and fun was paramount to them, and they ensured that we had a great time. We even got Evan to do a "no rain dance" on the river - VERY entertaining! The food was delicious as well! Once we arrived at our campsite, we showered, had a delicious dinner then enjoyed songs and smores around the fire. The wall tents and teepee were a big hit with our children - as was the outdoor shower! I've never had a more restful night's sleep than in our wall tent. Very comfortable. The next morning we rafted through the canyon (super fun!) then headed back to town.

This experience was our family's favorite during our 18 days in the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. Steve worked to make sure we got the most adventure for our money. The Johnson family that runs the ranch and our rafting guides really made this trip extra special. If you are thinking of including some rafting in your trip, consider an overnight experience. So much better than just a couple of hours on the river and will make incredible memories for you and your family! We will definitely book with Flying Pig Adventures again should we return to Yellowstone.

Great people. We went rafting with them. We had a great time. This is the first time any of us went rafting, so we were a bit scared. Our guide was a blast. Stayed in cubs den in town. Nice cozy place.

“Scenic and Fun Trip”
Reviewed June 25, 2014

Our guide Alex was informative, pleasant and made me feel safe throughout the rafting trip. The extra special moment came when we were trying to figure out how to get our bear spray mailed back home. The post office was closed for lunch and would be closed again by the time we were done rafting. I believe it was one of the owners (we didn't get his name) who took the package and our "worry" to the post office for us. That is TOP NOTCH customer service and we sincerely appreciated him going the extra mile and kindness.
