Owner description: Celebrating all things Yellowstone, the Flying Pig Adventure Company makes planning a vacation to Yellowstone easy. One call and you can set up anything from a quick float down the river to a complete vacation that includes lodging and an awesome activity package. Our activities include White water or Scenic Rafting, Horseback Rides, Fly Fishing, Park Tours and even shopping at our Camp Store. Above all else, we are best known for our friendly staff and excellent customer service. We love sharing the adventures of the Yellowstone area with our guests...And it shows! Many years ago, the Flying Pig got its start with whitewater rafting, and that is still the premier event today. Thousands of people have enjoyed our 8 Mile, 18 Mile and Overnight Rafting Trips on the Yellowstone River. We have awesome guides and our own private river access. In addition to whitewater trips, we also offer scenic floats for those who want to sit back, relax and soak in the views. Looking for a true Montana experience at a horse ranch? The Flying Pig offers horseback rides at a beautiful privately-owned alpine ranch just a few miles above town. The fun continues inside Yellowstone Park with Park Tours and Fly Fishing. In fact, we can take you fishing in some of the best trout rivers and streams in North America. We have also expanded to a second store location at 204 Park Street in Gardiner, where we offer a full complement of camping, hiking, fishing and apparel. Looking to experience Yellowstone first hand? Want to try something new? Give us a call and we will work with you to find just the right adventure. We encourage everyone to get out there and challenge themselves by doing something they never thought they'd do....To let their Pigs Fly!

All the staff are so friendly, raft guides were fun to be with and always felt safe. The river was very high and exciting. If you are thinking about rating but unsure...remember pigs do fly and go!!

The water was high and we went for the white water raft trip on the class 3 rapids. I was concerned about safety since only the two men had been on white water before and our adult daughter doesn't swim very well. They gave us wet suits and careful instructions and clearly cared about safety. Reassured, we started a lot more relaxed than I expected. Part way down the river, there is a quiet flow section, and they let the little kids jump out, holding on to the safetey rope, and float along for a while, then hauled them back in, which was pretty much the highlight of their entire trip west. Perfect for overcoming fear and for security next time - if they ever do fall out, they will know to grab the rope and hopefully won't panic. Not much risk of that on this trip, the guides were excellent, the water was just perfect, and I would definitely go with them again.

We thought this wildlife safari excursion would be informative, fun, and exciting, and paid over $200.00 for the opportunity to have a guide take us to secret places to possibly see bear, wolf, moose, big horn sheep, etc. We were told to wear hiking boots, bring bug spay, a rain coat, and water. Were asked numerous questions about our physical fitness. We were shocked that this trip was no more than a hot bus ride (no air conditioner) in the middle of the day around the park with limited opportunities to get out of the vehicle. We saw very few animals, and fell asleep on the bus from boredom. We soon learned that the best time to see wildlife is in the early morning (dawn), or late evening(dusk) when it is cooler out. My husband and I went out on our own several times at dusk driving on the main loop road, and saw wolf, coyote, elk, buffalo, badger, osprey, big horn sheep, a muscrat, black bear, and a grizzly mom and cub... FOR FREE!! This attraction will waste your vacation day and your money. Just drive by the Lamar Valley or Hayden valley at dawn or dusk and you will see all the wildlife you want. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!

Thank you for your feedback about the wildlife safari. My husband and I became the new owners of the Flying Pig in 2012 and we made a couple of changes to the wildlife safari so that it would be a more rewarding experience. Our Park Tour has become a fully customizable experience and is a private tour, which means that your family gets to spend the whole day with the guide on your own and you do not have to ride around with others in a bus. We have found that people really love working with the guide to come up with an agenda that suits them. I hope you will consider coming back and giving our new tour a try! Thank you

I found out about Flying Pig Adventure Company online, I decided to go White water rafting with them during our trip to Yellowstone National Park. Let me tell you, that was the best part of our trip. Everyone at Flying pig is super friendly, especially our guide Joe, he was awesome, friendly and knowledgeable. Joe made our trip so much fun; we laughed the whole way and had a great time. We did the all day trip so half way through we stopped for lunch in a little cute cabin, the lunch was great and we ate til we were all super full. Joe made sure we were having a great time including my 3 teenagers. I highly recommend this company to anyone who wants to go white water rafting in Gardiner or while traveling Yellowstone. They took care of our belongings, answer all of our questions, made our safety their priority, let us barrow shows and wet jackets free of charge. By the way, their prices are also very very reasonable. Feel free to send me a message if you have more questions about them.
