“Decent breakfast and coffee”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 10, 2012

We started our day with a breakfast sandwich and coffee from Tumbleweeds. It was fine - nothing remarkable; it made for a decent start to a day of hikes and exploration.

“Very slow”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 28, 2012

The space is lovely. Unfortunately, it took about 25 minutes for two coffees and an egg and cheese. The woman was trying her best, but clearly the place is understaffed. It really got us off on the wrong foot schedule-wise for the day.

“It's a great joy to have breakfast while surrounded by books”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2012

They don't have a comprehensive breakfast menu - bagels, sandwiches and wraps are pretty much all they have, but they have a good tea menu. And the best part is that this is a Bookstore & Cafe, which means you could browse some books while you are having a drink, which is perfect for me! They also have some artistic yellowstone postcards which are not available in Yellowstone official Visitor Centers.

“Nice Break Outside of Yellowstone Nat'l Park”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 13, 2012

NOTE: THE CORRECT NAME IS TUMBLEWEED BOOKSTORE AND CAFE . . . no plural!

After a few days & nights inside at Yellowstone National Park, my plan was to exit through the NW Entrance at Gardiner in order to go get "cheap" gas (as compared to inside the park) and to use the WiFi at Tumbleweed Bookstore & Cafe.

I arrived around 10:00am and order a ham & egg breakfast sandwich/bagel and hot tea which were very good and reasonable at $5.00 total.

The WiFi connection was a bit of a challenge but the staff assisted in getting me connected to another source inside their cafe.

The location is about 15 minutes outside of the park. The drive along the rushing white water rapids felt like I was back in the movie "A River Runs Through It." I was sorta hoping to see Brad Pitt, but alas, just a few other tourists stopping for photos along the way.

“Great sack lunch!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2012

We bought sack lunches for our family two days in a row. Order in advance, otherwise there will be a bit of a wait. We had sandwiches, fruit, crisps, muffin and drink for $9 per person. Very nice BLT!
