Our family of 4 stayed in a cabin for a couple nights and loved it! Our kids loved the view and the ability to walk to town for dinner and ice cream. The cabin was immaculate and very comfortable. We highly recommend this as a home base for exploring Yellowstone. Others have commented about rude staff, but we did not encounter any such interactions.

Very nice campground. Beautiful bathrooms and well kept grounds. Nice view overlooking the river and the town. You can see out to the north entrance gate of Yellowstone Park also.
Only one bathroom room/Shower building...which is closed from like 11:00-Noon daily. Closed means closed. Head to town if you need to "go."
Very strict, but that also helps keep it nice. You are not allowed to put out your camper canopy or a screen tent or portable shade (unexpected wind could blow them into other camping units causing damage.)
You are not allowed to hang anything to dry outside...must be hung inside your camping unit!
A bit on the expensive side for camping...I think it was $50+ a night for our pop-up camper with just water and electric (no sewer).
I would go back. If you're interested, just make sure you are aware of and can live with the rules. They will be enforced.
It really could use a swimming pool. There is NO PLACE to swim/cool off in the immediate area.

Couldn't find a place in the park to camp so we decided to check out this place since it was so close to the north gate. I was hesitant because we camp in a tent and this is an RV Park, but I was so wrong. The man at the counter was super nice and gave us a deal on his "sleeper cabin" (must supply own bedding). You cannot pitch your tent here, but the cabin was amazing. All wood, clean and even had an A/C unit. The showers/washoom area appeared to be brand new! Super clean, all ceramic tile and very large. Free WiFi too!

We only spent one night here, but the campground was very nice and clean. We played mini golf a few times and enjoyed the small course. We thought this was a good launching point to explore the north half of Yellowstone and really enjoyed the boiling river-a must do in Yellowstone. I was a little worried about all the rules on their website, but they proved to be pretty relaxed and not as strict as the site led me to believe. And the bathrooms/showers were excellent!

Stayed here for four nights in June, 2012. Hosts had our reservation and we were escorted to our site which was exactly as it was described. We were given a brochure with every detail we needed to know, including codes for the bathroom and the free WiFi. Bathrooms were the cleanest I have EVER seen! Nice tile, always clean, always stocked well, and water was always warm. Laundry was convenient. Campground was quiet at night. Mini golf was included in the price. Nice store with clothing, ice, milk, ice cream. Would DEFINITElY stay again! Location was great - just minutes to the arch for Yellowstone, and only about 10 minutes from Mammoth.

Room Tip: Ask for a campsite in the back. Our site was the very last one, closest to the river, and it was VERY windy because the campground is up on a hill.
