We took the full day rafting trip on the Gallatin over the fourth of July week. Four weeks past the peak flow but plenty of rapids and in short the experience was great. Everyone at Montana Whitewater Rafting was great but most of all our guide Walker. He made the 20+ miles of river rafting into a memory my family will never forget. Not sure if you can request a guide but if you can ask for Walker. I've been on a few rafting trips over the years but never had the opportunity to take my wife and kids. My 13 year old was hesitant at first but after the first rapid she was hooked. The photo's they took, and sold you at the end, were well worth it. $59 for 30 high quality action shots helps you better see what you exactly went through. I am ready to go back again next June during peak flow. I feel the full day trip is the only way to go, lunch was okay, chips and sandwiches but how can you go wrong eating lunch next to a river in beautiful Montana. I tried to submit pic's along with the review but TripAdivsor limited it to 5MB and the photos they took were 10MB. Great shots I wish I could have shared.
