As a business owner who relies on customer service I value feedback. Service spoiled our meal. Great atmosphere & menu. Made a reservation but no table was available when we arrived on time. Waited and ended up just squeezing into a smaller table. No water was ever served to us even after asking. No silverware provided even after asking...we ended up taking some from an empty table across restaurant. Our kids drinks were delivered after our appetizer was already eaten (and again we didn’t have water or silverware on the table yet). Food would have been great if it didn't sit under the lights and steak & salmon ended up over cooked. Maybe this is normal but cooks delivered the food to our table & server never checked on us until I flagged her down because the salad came with no dressing. They need bussers and/or more wait staff.

Yes, we were short staffed last night for sure and the server that took your table was helping cover a different section so fell off her radar and feels horrible about it! Hope you will try us again.

As far as the "reservation" we don't take them. You were on the wait list and requested a time if possible and we would do our best to accommodate. Some tables chose to hang out longer than usual.

Sincerest apologies and hope to see you again. Next time, please do ask for a manager so we can address this immediately and on site.

We are local to the area and went here for lunch. The service was excellent and our food was great. They have a variety of coffees, sandwiches and vegan options. The gyro falafel sandwich and sweet potato fries were excellent. The atmosphere is fabulous and the restaurant is decorated with beautiful wild life prints. They also have a selection of to-go options for your trip into the park! Don’t miss out on this great cafe!

Combine a weird menu, really bad service, and poorly prepared food and you have the Wonderland Cafe in Gardiner, MT. There are no redeeming qualities for this place -it’s not cute, not innovative in any way, and not cheap. If it is still in business six months from now, it will only be because there are precious few alternatives.

Ever try a veggie burger with a thin coating of sugar on the pattie? Disgusting.... how about a salad with carrot sticks resting atop a mound of insipid lettuce? How about a place where you have to ask three times for silverware?

Go on down the road. Don’t waste your time, money and good cheer at the Wonderland Cafe.

Typically, if you don't like a menu or the look, you would move on to a place that is more your style. I take reviews seriously and apologize for the silverware delay, but this was just not a good fit for you obviously. I would recommend in the future, rather than leaving such a negative review you would choose a place that is more your style. We are very proud of our menu, friendly staff and ambience. Most of our customers enjoy it and business has been good. And by the way there is no sugar in our housemade garden burger- the sweetness was peppers and onions. Best to you. Hope the rest of your visit in Gardiner goes well.

Very comfortable with great views! Brand new lodge with a cafe downstairs that has great coffee. Just steps from the Yellowstone Park northern entrance, but embedded in a small, western town with good restaurants and bars. Would definitely stay here again!

Visiting Yellowstone Park in this season, only the north entrance is open. Staying in Gardiner for a few days, we go Wonderland everyday since we discover it, tasty coffee and food, miss the burgers n muffin. The cozy environment make us want to stay there whole afternoon :)

Staff are super friendly, telling us many things about the park and wildlife and sharing with me a secret road to see the bear!

Wonderland Cafe is definitely one of the most lovely memory during our stay in Gardiner.
