“Me encanta El Cinnamon Lodge!”
Reviewed February 11, 2012

The Cinnamon Lodge has been a local Big Sky favorite eatery for several decades, albeit it has had a major transformation in recent years.

In late 2001 the Lodge suffered a horric fire, which burned down the once small and cozy Mexican Steakhouse and Bar. Then owned by Jim and Jo Snyder, the Lodge was rebuilt over the next year to its present larger lodge like structure. At first we feared that the larger structure would take away the very quaint ambience of the former small and local dive... but happily, while twice the size, and three times the hight of the former ceiling, the new stunning lodge restaurant remains warm, inviting, and yes... the food is PERFECTAMUNDO!

The Cinnamon Lodge has always been known for its flavorful steaks, and culturally true Mexican offerings. From faithfully authentic refried beans and fried rice to some of the best Tacos, Enciladas, and Chili Rellenos I've ever had - and I've had 'em throughout Mexico City, Puerto Vallarta and Acapulco - the Cinnamon will leave you stuffed, and with money in your pocket!

Happily, when Jim and Jo retired from their wonderful Mexican Steakhouse, the new owners have remaind true to the recipes and faithful to the awesome Mexican offerings. And yes, there are 'American' Fare dishes on the menu for those who don't love South of the Border food! Oh, and the best drink on the menu are their Top Shelf Margarita's... don't get 'em frozen... the 'on-the-rocks- are to die for!!!

“Friendly service, good food and log cabin atmosphere”
Reviewed December 29, 2011

We eat at the Cinnamon Lodge during our family ski-week in Big Sky. Always a friendly atmosphere and good Mexican food - not off the charts but hearty and some creative dishes. This year the steak and enchilada combo was a hit. If you like mild spice, ask to leave the salsa off entrees.

“Best desert of any Mexican restaurant”
Reviewed September 12, 2011

We heard that this was a good place but it took us a year to get around to trying it since it is on the way from West Yellowstone to Bozeman. The food was very good but the desert was fabulous. They have a sopapilla cheesecake that is simply wonderful. We liked it so much we looked up the recipe online and now make it at home.
