“Nice place to stay”
Reviewed September 30, 2011

With western North Dakota booked with oil workers, we drove to Forsyth for lodging and discovered this little place. New fixtures in the bathroom and plenty of room worked for us. The desk was good sized for computer work, and the WiFi worked well. No breakfast, but coffee in the office. If you don't need a lot, this is the place to stay! Very friendly owner - take a moment to chat when you get coffee in the morning.

We drove through North Dakota (and through the worst rain/hail storm I've ever driven in), and were ready to stop close to the border with Montana. Except that all the hotel rooms around there were booked up. Apparently oil workers are using a lot of the rooms in that area? We tried several cities, and even Billings was sold out according to the major websites.

Looked at reviews for tiny Forsyth, and gave this place a call. They had a few rooms left, I think it's such a small town that they might not book up as quickly? No chain hotels, either, so they don't show up on search engines.

Room was big, clean and comfy, and the price was very reasonable. Room had a fridge, so we got milk and had cereal in the morning. There's wifi (which was out because of the storm, but came back the next morning), and front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

I would stay again, and was incredibly grateful that they had a room available for us!

My wife and I have visited this motel a number of times over the years on our annual trek to Sturgis on our motorcycle. the room rate for a couple is in the low 50's. The room was clean and the bathroom was recently renovated. The bed was comfortable. The room had a small fridge, microwave and an air conditioning unit, a little noisy but it kept the room cool. There was a BBQ out on the patio for those who wanted to cook their own food. The owners were very helpfull in telling us where to eat ,and for those of you who read this who travel on a motorcycle, they offered to supply rags so that the bikes could be cleaned up..those that ride understand how nice that is. The wifi is relatively fast and passworded for access. Be aware that Forsyth is a railroad town and there will be train traffic with the noise that it entails. There are not a lot of dining choices in Forsyth but there is a 24/7 diner easily within walking distance. For a clean bed at a decent price close to a quick breakfast in the morning you would be hard pressed to find better

This motel was owned and operated by very nice lady from Montana. The rooms were clean but there were no frills like ice. This is an old town with train tracks running down middle but you get used to hearing trains during night. The owner had some beautiful flowers.

This is a small mom and pop motel but the rooms were very clean, plenty of lighting. The only drawback was the bathroom, no bathtub and a very confining shower stall. All in all we would stay there again. The owners are very nice and willing to make your stay pleasant.

This is nothing fancy, but was by far the best option pricewise for one night on the road in Eastern Montana. I think it was about $55 and some small charge for our dog, but the room was ample and clean enough, though old. The owner was kind enough to tell us in advance that the internet would not work in our room, but wiped down a nice patio table adjacent to the office so we could get online there (where there's even a power plug). Comfortable enough beds, decent enough linens, right price, nice owners who seem to take personal pride in the place.

The owners were friendly and helpful.
This is the motel for a good nights sleep in a small Montana town for great value. Nothing less and nothing more.
