We were in one of the "motel" type buildings of about 7 rooms all attached. Unfortunately, due to sitting on Many Glacier's hotel deck watching the sunset and then going to dinner, we arrived to our room after dark. Check-in in the restaurant went well, but there is not ONE source of light by the building (a motion-sensor light would've been nice!) There was one parking spot left, thankfully, but not where we could shine our car lights on the door to get in and turn on the porch light. It was 10pm and everyone else was asleep, so we felt like every move we made was being heard (the welcome booklet on the desk mentioned the thin walls...at least they have a sense of humor!).
We had a double and a twin, so we slept separately, which was fine for 1 night. They were comfortable beds. Bathroom had only a small shower, no tub. Thankfully, it was open at the top or I'd have been majorly claustrophobic. Sink was just that, a sink. No counter, no shelf, NO place to put toiletries. I found that really irritating!
Staff in the restaurant were very nice. Food is good and reasonably priced. We had the multi-grain hotcakes, but unfortunately they were out of huckleberries. Sausage was greasy and unappetizing, then we heard someone at another table order turkey sausage - which we would've loved to have, but did not see on the menu.
We were kicking ourselves for not just driving straight to the Inn and having dinner there. Instead we went to the Cattle Baron Supper Club, which was disgusting.
Overall, the accommodations were just okay, especially for $145! But if you want to be in the park, it's seems to be either one of these type places or the big (old) hotels. Roughing it for a night or 2 is not a problem for us.
