Triple Creek Ranch
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed July 28, 2010

Triple Creek was the first of our 3 mountain vacations this summer and it turned out to be an exceptional start to our travels. While called a ranch, this is really a luxury resort with horses. We stayed 7 nights in Nez Perce, one of the luxury cabins which was well appointed, including a large steam shower, a fireplace, a private hot tob on the deck, and a personal golf cart to move around the property. Wine & spirits were provided in the cabin as well as an ongoing supply of fresh baked cookies.

The lodge is beautifully done, including a dining room complete with mountain views, and a comfortable library and bar. In addition to meals, cocktails, beer and about 10 house wines were included. Triple Creek does maintain an extensive wine cellar as well. Meals were exceptionally prepared and could be had in the dining room, or delivered to your cabin if you preferred. Beautiful art and sculpture were placed throughout the property.

Service was exceptionally attentive without being pretentious or intrusive. Guided trail rides were available 3x/day. Triple creek maintains a herd of beautiful, well cared for horses which were a pleasure to ride. Off -ranch activities were expertly arranged - we enjoyed an extensive ATV ride on a separate ranch owned by the owners of Triple Creek, and a guided float trip down the Bitteroot River, as well as an eco-tour of the area by the General Manager, an avid birder. We did venture into the surrounding towns, however, they have little to offer - the ranch and the mountains are the draw here.

Just finished a three night stay at Triple Creek as a reunion with 2 other couples. After some strenuous hiking in Glacier, we were ready to be pampered and we were! The cabins were lovely, clean and fully appointed. Three meals a day, all different and fantastically prepared.

There are a variety of off-site adventures, like ATV excursions, white water rafting, helicopter tours, etc.

Our only regret was that we didn't book for four days.

While pricey it was a wonderful vacation that we all enjoyed and would consider returning.

We decided to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary at Triple Creek Ranch (it was highly recommended on TripAdvisor, Travel + Leisure magazine and the book A thousand places to see before you die). Our only negative experience was at check-in. When we arrived, we weren't greeted (staff was busy assisting the couple in front of us with check-in). During this process we overhead staff telling the couple that they had "upgraded" them to a nicer room. Unfortunately, the room that they were being upgraded out of just so happened to be the room we were getting ready to check into! Ugh!!! When it was finally our turn, we were told that our room wasn't ready (although it was already 30 minutes past the "official" check-in time AND we had called 2 hours prior to let them know we were on our way). Not what you expect from a Relais & Chateux property. After speaking with the general manager, who was wonderful and offered to "upgrade" our room, we decided to stay put and couldn't have made a better decision. The Chipmunk cabin was so delightful. If you want peace, quiet and beauty, I recommend staying here! The food was UNBELIEVABLE (the croissants at breakfast were to die for!) and the rest of the service was impeccable. Definitely one of my favorite vacations and well worth every penny (lots of pennies but still worth saving for!). P.S. The L'Occitane products were heavenly.

My wife and I celebrated 28th our anniversary at TCR and all i can say is Absolutely fantastic. Food, service, riding and other activities all amazing.
Best service I have EVER had at a 5 star resort. Very good and limited numbers of guests mean you are pampered. Going back for christmas to ride in the white stuff.

My husband and I picked Triple Creek Ranch for our wedding in October 2009. We traveled there from Pennsylvania, renting an SUV in Missoula and driving the last part of the trip to the ranch. It was the most beautiful ranch I've ever seen, and I cannot say enough about the attention to detail and attentiveness of the staff. You meet everyone on site, and they remember you - where ever we went, we heard - You're the couple getting married!" The ranch met the difficult challenge of balancing elegance with comfort. Not once did we want for something, not once did we ask for something that we didn't receive it - and with a smile and "no problem" attitude. The food - excellent, the service - excellent, the cabin (and its hot tub) where impeccably clean and utterly comfortable. I would go back in a second (and hope to!) and would recommend this experience to anyone. Don't let the price stand in your way, it is an excellent value.

Tremendous is the only way to describe this place. I nearly didn't write a review, because I'd like TCR to remain the best kept secret in America. My husband and I have traveled and stayed all over the world (e.g., Turtle Island in Fiji, Four Seasons in Nevis, Ritz Carlton in Jamaica, gone on safari in South Africa, cruised to Hawaii, etc.). This is the best place we have ever stayed. Fantastic staff, incredible food, gorgeous scenery, fantastic cabins, and fun activities (be sure to rent snowmobiles!!). Run, don't walk, to TCR.

My wife and I vacationed at the Triple Creek Ranch for our 14th anniversary last month. We have been to some spectacular resorts but nothing has compared to TCR. The food was the best food I have ever been served at any resort or luxury cruise ship. The steaks were perfect, the fish fresh and not overcooked, and the freshly squeezed OJ was a great way way to start off a busy day. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but not intrusive. We are active people and rode horses every day we were there. Neither of us had been on a horse in 20 years but the wranglers "showed us the ropes" and we felt like veterans by the end of the week. Our highlight was the cattle drive, I can't remember the last time I laughed out loud so much! The staff made special arrangements for us to be included on the drive. The off ranch all day ride was also a treat. Truly the best vacation I have ever had - and my wife feels the same way. We will be back. Thanks to everyone at the ranch G & L
