Got breakfast this morning. Omelette, hash browns and sourdough bread. Huge well stuffed omelette. Fresh cut potatoes; not frozen. Homemade bread. Just like my own Sunday family breakfast. Don't travel through Darby. Stop and eat here.

Very charming family run small business. They really care about the food and it shows. A definite must do every time we pass through Darby.

Not normally open for dinner, we were lucky to be in town for one of the rare occasions they are open for dinner. The entire family is involved with running the business. They are all very attentive to customers' needs and nice to talk with. While tempting, we did not order the Trapper. How can anyone fit their mouth around a burger with grilled cheese sandwiches as buns? My husband did tackle the grilled PBJ, which was messy but good. We missed our chance for breakfast Monday morning, as they were closed. Maybe next time.

Stopped here on our way to Yellowstone National Park. It seems the whole family is involved: three boys, obviously brothers were taking orders, bussing tables and the youngest (of about ten, I'd say) wearing an apron and probably washing dishes. Mom? came out one time to size up the crowd, and a young lady who may have been big sister home from college for the summer was competent, quick with service and easily managed the lunch crowd.

The locals eat here and that's always a good sign. One group of eight to ten ladies met at a large table behind ours and we overheard all the news.

I had the cod filet sandwich. It was perfectly cooked FISH, not a rolled piece of thrice stepped on fish flavored mystery meat. The beer battered fries were obviously made there, not shaken out of a freezer box. My husband had the bison burger and was very happy with it.

This place is CLEAN. The service is prompt, polite and these young men/boys are obviously learning that nothing in life is free, one must work for it. Prices were very reasonable and portions were large.

If you're ever in Darby, stop for a bite. You will walk out too full but happy.

Three of us stopped here for lunch. One ordered a half BLT, which was great, one ordered a turkey melt on sourdough bread - yummy. And one ordered a TRAPPER. This is a hamburger between two grilled cheese sandwiches. This is nuts! But, he finished it and said it was great. Nice people, clean restaurant. Very reasonable prices. Go there hungry!
