We stayed here 4 nights, and didn't want to leave. The grounds are gorgeous, and cabins are private, spotless,well-appointed, and decorated with a theme. It was like coming home. Jo-Ann couldn't havve been more helpful. Loved staying here and highly recommend.

We took the Amtrak out to West Glacier and they picked us up. That was great! We rented a car from a place right down the road. The cabin was great to come to after the long train ride--felt so much like "home". The cabin was nicely furnished and clean. We went to the local grocery store and picked up groceries and then we were set. Gary and Jo-Ann answered any questions we had and gave us tips and places to visit as well. The girls loved it just as much as my mom and I did. I think they liked coming "home" from a day of exploring/shopping to watch a little tv. The scenery was beautiful at night, e.g. the snow-capped mountains and the beautiful pink/blue clouds. You could watch the hummingbirds from your patio. We all have never seen so many hummingbirds as we did here. They were neat to watch! The flowers and landscaping were beautiful. After a long day you could sit out on patio and relax! The trains weren't a bother to us at all and the traffic from the highway was fine to. Don't let that change your mind about staying here! All in all we would come back! Great place!

Amazing cabins and grounds maintained with excellence. We have slept & rest well, eaten well, hiked many Glacier Park trails. There are too many good stories to tell! Train sounds are a part of the ambience, and have not caused any disruption to our rest. Highway sounds are less desirable, but better than many other cabin locations we have seen adjacent to the highway en route to the short 5 miles to the Park entrance. We are finishing up a week in cabin #6 and feel sorry for anyone who would stay less than a week. Too much to do with the park so close and good reading on rainy days beckoning the vacationing couple or family. Thank you to Jo-Ann and Gary, owners and operators of this gem of a retreat! We will return.

Room Tip: Cabin 6 stands alone, very private. Would be a wonderful honeymoon or marriage refreshing spot. Cabins on hill look to be just as wonderful, with more afternoon sun to enjoy on the porch. There are heaters for cold weather, an air conditioner for warmer and ceiling fans. Full kitchens. Fire pits and picnic tables on grounds.

My wife and stayed here for three nights and thought the place was great for the most part. We didn’t really have a problem with the trains but imagine they could be loud if you had the windows open but not so loud they would be a problem. We found the cabins very spacious, clean, nicely furnished, and very well taken care they each also have a nice front porch with a BBQ grill out front. The grounds are very nicely decorated and well maintained. On the downside it felt that it was like staying at a bed and breakfast as the owners were right next door to our cabin and it felt as if there was not much privacy. I found the laminated notes somewhat humorous that are placed around the cabin telling you what not to do but I completely understand as they are trying to keep them nice and it shows. It was very close only about 10 or 15 minutes to the west gate for our travels in the park. If I was in the area again I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone that would be in the area.

Room Tip: Don't get cabin 2 its next to the owners

We stayed in the middle cabin which my husband thinks would be quieter than those on the end - but the end closest to the trains is occupied by the owners. Our last night a cold front blew in and the temperature was below freezing. You could hear the trains more than the other nights. However, I am very sensitive to noise and they didn't bother me at all. And my husband dislikes the noise of trains (one year we stayed in Essex, MT where the trains probably do rattle the hotel). But he could only hear the sound when on the porch.

The cabins are small but very comfortable for a couple. We didn't cook but it looked like everything you would need was in the kitchen. Very clean, nicely decorated. Jo-Ann (owner) is helpful with regard to restaurants, printing boarding passes, whatever. Lots of brochures in the cabin for perusal. Also, Jo-Ann has beautiful landscaping and a number of bird feeders. We were out sightseeing most of the time so we didn't get to bird watch. But she noted lots of birds coming to her feeders that are not familiar to me in Texas. I hope to go back and see them one day.
