Super 8 is the biggest business in this tiny mountain location. The room was clean and attractive. We were pleasantly surprised to see that laundry facilities were available. The breakfast was Super 8's typical drinks, yogurt, cereal, toast, and fruit. Although the cinnamon rolls were missing, we were pleasantly surprised with the waffle batter and griddle. Fresh, hot waffles and syrup made the stay! Don't count on using your cell phone; we had no Verizon cell service. WiFi was available after they reset the routers. Apparently there was some problem with previous guests using wash cloths as rags; the very stern note by our sink indicated that we'd better not get the wash cloths dirty or we would buy them!! An alternate cloth was available for "cleaning equipment."

On a final note, one guest came to the front desk in the morning and tried to tell the worker something. He had difficulty understanding her English, and when she walked away, he waved his hand at her as though "good riddance." My husband found this very rude!

Room Tip: Rooms on first floor are in ground and, therefore, have the west parking lot by their window. Motor...

The Super 8 in Cooke City was available on short notice, and even though we are not handicapped, gladly took the handicapped room. The accomodations were clean and functional. The price would be high if it wasn't peak tourist season and a weekend high in demand, so it was worth it. We found the owners helpful and accomodating. Breakfast area a little skimpy and not really able to accomodate a full motel. The bed was comfortable. There is no AC in this area, but the ceiling fan made it comfortable and the windows can be opened.

I gave this a 3 because he room was clean and the towels were nice. However, the staff were not host friendly, and the breakfast area was awful in the morning, plus had very little left and this was at 9 am, and their sign stated breakfast until 11. As one other person stated, if you are riding motorcycle, the parking lot is sloped, and rounded small river rock . The associated I talked with when I made the reservations stated that there was motorcycle parking in front of the hotel. However, it is sloped and hard to get into no matter which entrance. I would say the hotel was pricey, however, all of Cooke City is pricey. Most likely we will no stay in Cooke city again, and for sure not the Super 8

This was a typical Super 8. If you are on motorcycles, the parking approach is loose rock and fairly steep. I had the wife and female friends wait at the bottom of the lot for assistance. Clean room, clean sheets, clean bathroom, typical low selection Super 8 breakfast fare. No A/C but we did not need it. We ate breakfast at a little place two buildings east where you can get a great pecan roll, eggs/bacon and even spark plugs or skis for your snowmobile. Fun place to eat!!

Room Tip: In the summer open the windows and turn on the ceiling fan as soon as you get there. It cooled off...

The Super 8 in Cooke City was clean but a little expensive for what you get. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The service was okay. The breakfast was not great. There was no fruit or protein. You had to go next store and buy those items at a restaurant run by the hotel owners. Check out was at 10:30 with no late check out allowed (because the next night was full). Overall, it was a decent place to stay in Cooke City, but if I were staying longer, I would choose a lodge nearby.

Room Tip: Rooms on third floor (no elevator) have great views of mtns.

We stayed here on our way Washington. Great value, room was clean, staff and owner very friendly. Walking distance to restaurants. Would have loved to stay longer to chat with the owner - great guy! On our way to Yellowstone we noticed 2 bison on the roadside!
