“Okay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 27, 2012

The vortex was interesting. There is also vortex in Santa Cruz, CA, which is similar. The guide was informative, and the "attractions" seemed real. Can't really tell what is due to the "vortex effect". The kids enjoyed the house the most. Good, clean touristy fun.

“Family loved it”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 26, 2012

My family loved the Vortex. My husband has been talking about his trip here nearly 25 years ago, and we finally got our 15 and 12 year old here. They really enjoyed it, and the guide was knowledgeable on physics and electricity.

I have had vertigo issues in the past, many years ago. I couldn't quite do the house without feeling dizzy, but even without that, it was a nice location, with friendly staff. Well worth an hour or two. :-)

“Don't Believe It, But Go Have Some Silly Fun Anyway (If You Are Into That)”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2012

Yes, the vortex is all mirrors and angles... of course. And if you go expecting to see orbs and fairies, maybe you will. But really folks, there are people who just LOVE this kind of schlock, and those that don't. If you and your family are big fans of all things touristy and silly, and you want the kids to run around a bit and have some harmless fun, go for it! If you want to analyze and be mad because there isn't a "mystery" at all, well shame on you, no duh. Go for a hike and enjoy the beautiful Montana area.

“This place blew my mind.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 18, 2012

We visited the house of vortex yesterday and loved it! We were unsure of going there because of the mixed reviews but ended up having a great time. The house of mystery is a tour of the area where there are an electromagnetic field which affects anything within its reach and can't be fully explained by science. Sounds odd? It is. An example which we could reason was placing a button on a pole at nose height in one of these vortex fields. When we walk around the pole and returned to the same point of reference, our nose was about an inch below the button. When we reversed our walk our nose returned to the original point of reference. There are multiple experimental areas for you to test the vortex out yourself. I definitely recommend it!!!!
