Glacier Mountain Lodge
Reviewed August 25, 2013

We rented the South Fork Suite at Glacier Mountain Lodge. I found out about this place on a different website that promised free breakfast and an afternoon reception. It turns out that Glacier Mountain Lodge used to be a bed and breakfast, but now it is high end vacation rentals. So there was no breakfast or afternoon reception. The pedal boat on the lake hasn't been used in a very long time. It had bugs all over it. The cabin was beautiful, but it was very hard to locate the manager. It took her a day to call us back. We requested a crib, but it was not in the cabin. We also found animal hair all over one of the beds. The manager finally called me back the next day and took care of the issues. The kitchen was missing a few key elements (like a dish strainer) but we made do. There were no extra paper towels or trash bags. One of the bedrooms didn't have an AC unit or a fan. The bathroom was very nice. It had a shower and a jetted tub. The grounds are beautiful and it is very secluded. It was relaxing. We really liked Glacier Mountain Lodge, but it was not everything I thought it would be.

Room Tip: Pick a cabin that has AC in every room.

A beautiful, clean, modern lodge with 600 thread count sheets what more could I ask for? We stayed in the main lodge and we were wowed by this place. The entrance to the lodge is awesome, the kitchen is very grand, the patio is beautiful, the hot tub is very relaxing, the room and bathroom are very comfortable and clean. The manager is a young lady who is very energetic, helpful and pleasant.

Room Tip: Each room is unique. We stayed in the main lodge; it was beautiful.

This is a beautiful place and a great spot for family gatherings. The place does need some TLC as the air bed in the master suite did not work and caused an uncomfortable sleep for elderly parents. The air mattress downstairs that was great for the kids also had a leak in it. The barbecue hadan't been cleaned out and wasnt working very good. When we arrived there were wasps nests all along the deck, these were dealt with. For the money we were paying and for the size of house you would expect these details to be taken care of. The windows were dirty. It was these small details that did make this a nice but not great place.

This lodge and its ground are beautiful. It is peaceful and park-like. My husband and I stayed in the Middle Fork Cabin which is perfect for two people. The amenities are high end and we loved the solitude. It is very close to Glacier National Park and only a few miles from town and restaurants. We cannot wait to come back and stay awhile longer.

This was a wonderful place to relax and just let your spirit be filled with serenity the grounds are beautiful the pond with the stream that leads to the lake with all the plants and were wonderful. The Cabin that we stayed in was great, the beds were wonderful, the kitchen was big enough to not want to go out to eat. To stay a week here would really supply you with serentiy to last the long winter or the short summer. The Staff was awsome and I want to thank them for a wonderful stay and hope to see them again soon.
