“Absolute tantalyzing surprise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 9, 2014

We stopped at Grizzly on a lark after kayaking and hiking, believing it would be a simple bar with basic burgers and sandwiches. The moment we walked in we were absolutely surprised. The ambience was nice and relaxing for the Montana mountains, especially after a day in the mountains. The meal was absolutely fantastic. The fish and steak were both great. The salad and soup was so good that we determined to return just for the soup and salad. Service was friendly and warm. We're bringing friends next time. Don't pass this place if you're driving through the Montana mountains.

“In the boonies”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 16, 2014

What a fun place to go and the burgers are amazing. This place is on the Madison River about 20 miles south of Ennis Montana. You'll find many locals and some celeb types that summer in this area. I haven't had all of the fare but many of my friends have and everyone says the same, great food, fun atmosphere and is well worth the trip. Limited menu and that is great because they can focus on getting you the best product at a pretty decent price. You cannot not go if your in the area.

“Surprise! Great food in a remote location...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 17, 2013

When Kelly Galloup, proprietor of the nearby Slide Inn, told us about the great food at the Grizzly Bar, we thought he might be putting us on; after all, we were a long way from anywhere, and would have settled for a decent burger. To our delight, it was much better than that! What other ordinary-looking mountain country roadside bar & grill offers calamari sautéed in sweet chili sauce with oriental slaw, served with chopsticks...as an appetizer? A varied menu and a good beer selection make this THE place to eat in this part of Montana!

“pretty good place, in a pretty good place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 2, 2013

Just east of Cameron (which is only a wide spot in the road), about half way between West Yellowstone and Ennis, on an old levee high above the Madison. If you are fishing the area, its a must. Great burgers, good rib eye, not a lot of selections on the menu, but all good. Hard to believe this place is there, it is kind of the middle of nowhere. Rustic, friendly, not pretentious, half and half locals and tourists. full bar, generous pour. I wouldn't drive there just to be there, but if you are in the area, stop in, you won't regret it.
