“Sophisticated food in a quiet town”
Reviewed August 14, 2013

We were traveling across the country, following many trip advisor recommendations and loved the meal we had at this restaurant. From the menu description of the special tomato salad, grown at the chef's house, to the size of the portions and the yummy food, we were pleased and well sated. The decor and music were a pleasant break from traveling, wish I didn't live 2000 miles away!

“Fine dining in Butte”
Reviewed August 11, 2013 via mobile

Excellent food and superior service. If it's a tourist season weekend you'll want to make reservations. They serve some of the best ravioli I've ever had. Only downside is cramped dining areas - if there's a big party or anyone with children, there's nothing to distance/buffer the noise.

“A special, local, treat in Butte, MT”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

What a wonderful find in Butte, MT. We trusted urban spoon and other reviewers on this one. One even said, "maybe the best restaurant in Montana." We are so glad we trusted the reviews. The diners there on a week night were locals, but for a few others who found it who were traveling cross country. When the locals are dining there and look happy with their families, you know you found a special place.
The service was so wonderful and we came in so late as that day was our 12 hour drive day. We called 3x to let them know we'd be later, the time changed, etc. They were so nice. And, they were keenly aware of gluten-free options. We had appetizers, salads of their fresh gorgeous restaurant garden's heirloom tomatoes, and shared their fish special. We had a drink and a bottle of wine and the bill was under $75!
Uptown is a must if you are traveling to or through Butte, MT.

“Uptown upscale”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

So this is probably Butte's only "fine dining" restaurant and they try really really hard. Roasted quail in port sauce, Beef Wellington, Sabayon cream sauce dessert. A bit heavy handed on the saucing and salting/peppering but overall a very worthy effort. We will definitely be going back for the food and also to see how they mature and develop.

“Superb Service. Food is nice.”
Reviewed July 7, 2013 via mobile

Came here based on location to our hotel and the great reviews. We went on a Saturday night without reservations, which seems like a mistake here. However, they expertly worked us in without delay.

All of the wait staff was excellent. From the kid bussing the tables to our server, all were first rate. This was noticeable. Impressed.

Food was good, but not spectacular. We had the Filet Mignon, which to our surprise was a four course meal. The presentation was great. Daughter had the Fettuccine Alfredo. The taste was good for all meals, but not memorable to any in our party. Desert was a disappointment. Mine was still partially frozen.

Wine list was nicely rounded and larger than I expected. Prices were very fair.

While not living up to the hype I had heard from this place, I would definitely return with recalibrated expectations.
