This little cafe is all organic so the menu is "interesting", but very tasty. The sandwiches were all good and each had an different twist. From the menu the turkey sandwich was supposed to have feta cheese, I'm not a feta fan, so they staff was able to change to a sliced cheese for me.
Smoothies were very good. Because the cafe uses local and fresh items they were out of several items, peaches, red potatoes and sprouts on the day we visited.
The meal was good, but the service was a bit slow. Fresh, hand made does take longer, but it was a bit long. Also since they were out of several items, it made ordering much more difficult. It would have been nice to know what they were out of before we made or order. Kids menu was not great unless you have a young one who really likes to each healthy foods. (No chicken strips on this menu :-(

Local, organic, fresh, friendly! The grass fed bison burgers were cooked to order and paired with roasted red potatoes. Easy access from I-90.

We're locals and love the coffee here, but the service is pretty slow. When you're the only customers, it shouldn't take nearly an hour to get your food.

The short version:
-Interesting menu for adults, with fantastic ambience and wonderful drinks
-Perfectly child friendly atmosphere, but the children's menu is not appealing to the typical child. May have better luck ordering off the regular menu, or for breakfast. Prices seem just a touch high for the area.

The long version:
Traveling across country and avoiding fast food establishments may not be an easy way to travel, but it certainly gives you the chance to find local gems! I was surprised to discover this charming cafe in Butte. I didn't expect to be able to find such interesting accommodations for the vegan in my party in the middle of Montana.

The three adults in our party all ordered something different, and were satisfied with our selections. However, the children's menu is very limited, and my daughter took one bite of her grilled cheese sandwich (her option was almond butter and jelly) and refused to finish it. Also, although the menu clearly states that the children have the same choice of sides that the adults do, apparently the computer in the back only allows corn chips to be chosen. Our waitress did bring the pasta salad once that was pointed out, though.

The atmosphere would be worth the detour from the interstate even if the food weren't particularly interesting. Huge windows let in lots of light, hardwood floors, there are high ceilings, eclectic furnishings, and an enclosed courtyard, and a selection of board games in bookshelves against the wall near the bathroom suggest this would be a wonderful place to hang out for a few hours with friends.

The true stars of the establishment, however, are the beverages. The lattes (both soy and regular milk) were perfect, and the smoothy was quite simply divine.
