“Perfect place for a conference”
Reviewed May 15, 2009

Have stayed here for two eight day conferences and plan to have another in fall of 2009. The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. The staff is helpful and courteous. Very close to eating and shopping establishments. Very pleasing stay.

This is a clean, basic hotel in a good location that accepts pets. I appreciate places that allow me to stay with my dog but are clean and don't have left-over pet smell. Stayed there before and after a trip to Yellowstone.

We stayed twice at the Comfort Inn in Bozeman MT at the start and end of our vacation in Yellowstone. We were flying in and out of Bozeman, so this was a convenient hotel. It's about 15 - 20 minutes drive to the airport.
Both nights we had large comfortable rooms for 2 adults. The property was clean and well maintained. Complimentary coffee/tea was available 24/7. The complimentary breakfast was well run, in a roomy conference area. Offerings were the typical pastries, bagels, toast, hard-boiled egg, juice, coffee etc.
Our rooms both had very loud AC units. They worked, but were very loud. We didn't have time to watch a lot of tv, but the reception was very good with lots of channels. There is a nice computer near the lobby which we were able to use for advance check-in for our return flight. The printer, however, was having connection problems, and we couldn't print our boarding passes.
We didn't have time to mess with it, but I do think the front desk personnel were very helpful and probably could have resolved the printer problem if we had asked.
There is a Walmart behind this hotel, so if you need anything, it's an easy walk or drive to the store. Also, there is a decent BBQ restaurant chain across the street from the hotel. I think it was called Famous Daves.
The hotel was quiet located at the intersection of two 4 lane roads, in a commercial area - only outside noises were some traffic, and late at night, you might hear the train in the distance.

  • Liked — Large, nice, clean rooms. Quiet location. Excellent staff.
  • Disliked — Loud AC units in rooms.

When we arrived in town this had to be the worst looking hotel of all. Too bad I made reservations ahead of time on their website. The breakfast was the best part, not that it was great but it did not have any problems and the attendant was helpful. The place is old and a bit run down. You can do better, especially for the $115 plus tax price!

Good things: Very comfortable bed, friendly service, extensive continental breakfast (had the usual plus hard boiled eggs and waffles), the sink was outside of the toilet room (always a plus), and the room was clean.

Negative things: Tiny pool, hot tub way too hot (couldn't use), a popping noise from the TV cabinet all night long (very strange and probably unique to our room), hallway carpet a bit shabby (but the room carpet was fine).

If you simply want a clean room with a comfortable bed, this is a good place to stay. If you want a place for the kids to have fun in the pool while you soak in the tub, I wouldn't recommend it.

  • Liked — Clean with comfortable beds
  • Disliked — Shabby hallway carpet

This is a nice looking property with an aroma problem. When making reservations we requested a non-smoking room. When we checked in the room we were assigned reeked of smoke. It was very noticible the minute we walked in. We also noticed that it did not have the non-smoking sign attached to the door. When I returned to the front desk i told them there was a problem that we appeared to be in a smoking room. They told me that the room had recently been converted to non-smoking. Apparently the conversion to non-smoking meant changing the listing in the computer. The carpet, draperies, bed spreads, etc... were still left over from it's time as a smoking room.

They reassigned us to another room down the hall. When we walked in we were nearly knocked to the ground by a foul smell. We never did figure out what the aroma was but it was much worse than the smoking room. We returned to the front desk once again. At first I was told that no other rooms were available. Finally I asked if that included upgraded rooms as well. Only then did they find a mini-suite in the "new part" of the hotel which they offered us at the same rate.

This room was clean and comfortable and had no objectionable aromas. IF we had been assigned to this room from the start I would have raved about this hotel. But it appears that there is a huge difference in quality between the old and new buildings.

The pool was nice and the breakfast was okay. I would advise future travelers to this property to make sure they are given a room in the new section of the hotel.

I really liked this property. Folks were very very friendly and helpful. This is very important to a single traveler. In-room coffee, good breakfast wtih hard boiled eggs, bagels, whole wheat bread, waffles etc. One thing I did not like is there was no fridge, so no storage of dinner leftovers was possible resulting in a lot of waste. My room was really big! The hotel was quiet and peaceful. I used the laundry and that room and the machines worked well, were clean, were inexpensive to use, and they had soap at the front desk..

  • Liked — large clean room, healthy breakfast choices, friendly staff
  • Disliked — no fridge in room
