“Nice Fairfield”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 28, 2014

Hotel was clean and neat. The property is well cared for. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was very good. Close to the interstate and convenient to Yellowstone. Tours to Yellowstone are available from the hotel.

Room Tip: Unless you're up early, get a room on the west side of the hotel.

This is an older hotel, and we were told that the lobby was soon to be renovated. The front door will be changed to a sliding one; right now, someone needs to hold it open, so that you squeeze your laden luggage cart through. Considering the prices charged ($110 plus taxes for a double room), I would argue that a traveler might be able to do better elsewhere. However, the hotel meets Fairfield Inn standards, and we found the various shifts of front-desk people to be pleasant, courteous, and helpful. Breakfast was satisfactory, with limited fresh-fruit offerings. There is no fitness center, just a tiny pool. The hotel is out of town, but Bozeman is so small that it does not take long to get anywhere.

Room Tip: Try for the top floor. Try for the king-size bedrooms.

Yes, we do have many new and exciting changes happening here at the Fairfield Inn Bozeman. Our guest rooms have received a renovation and our breakfast/lobby area, in addition to a Market for our guests will be available this summer. We are glad that your stay was pleasant and hope that you will have another opportunity to stay with us again after all of our renovations are complete.

This hotel was clean and comfortable but no frills. For some odd reason we had a folded cot in our room, and no chair, but we were so tired from the long drive we did not complain. The room also did not have a refrigerator and when I wanted ice to keep something cold, we were told they had only one ice machine on the first floor. Cumbersome. The hotel has free parking and a nice complimentary breakfast. The hotel staff were absolutely fantastic and gave us a dining recommendation to Santa Fe Reds - a quaint Mexican restaurant just a short drive away. It was excellent. There are gas stations and stores in the area and it has easy access to the interstate. The hotel was fine for a short stay.

While I thought that hotels everywhere have become smoke-free, I found that in Bozeman, MT, it's not the case. Thankfully, this Marriott-run hotel is not only smoke-free throughout all floors, the but the rooms are very clean. The ceilings are a bit thin, so you can hear people trampling back and forth above you, so I would recommend that you ask for a top floor.

Breakfasts are quite good - with a mix of fruit, yogurt and eggs. It's a pleasant retreat after a day in Yellowstone. The staff is very helpful in recommendations of local restaurants, etc...

Room Tip: Get a room on the 3rd floor.

My wife and I arrived after a long day in Yellowstone. Tymer was the gentleman at the front desk. He could not have been more accommodating and pleasant. The main floor was undergoing remodeling. He put us in a totally redone room on the third floor. I am becoming a big fan of Fairfield's bedding and this was exceptional. We enjoyed a late night swim, pool is open till midnight!
When we went down for breakfast Tymer was already back on the job. Sometimes hotel staff treat you as if they have never seen you before. Not Tymer! Quite friendly for a guy that had just eight hours off.
The breakfast was typical for a Fairfield. But the fresh cut fruit was above and beyond. The "Expanded Continental Breakfast" we had the day before at a different hotel was very disappointing so we truly enjoyed the offerings here. Fruit is hit or miss some places. This was definitely a hit.
I appreciate the quality of the wifi in the room and the easy access. The printer in the lobby made for a smooth check in and printing of boarding passes too

Room Tip: I thought I could find it just by getting off at the exit. I should have paid more attention to wher...

Staff were very friendly upon check in and when out shoveling snow from the sidewalks.

Pool was cool compared to last year same time frame and there was no plastic ball to play with this time, also no hot tub.

Room is a bit on the small side but did allow for king bed and recliner just not a lot of room for bags.

Reason for lower rating was due to slower draining tub, something that really is hard for travelers to deal with.

Breakfast was improved over last year offering scrambled eggs and sausage patties with the normal cereal, yogurt and fruit.

Kimberly, thank you for taking time to respond on TripAdvisor. My staff are very friendly and helpful which is a source of pride to the Brand. The pool is kept at the same tempurature everyday and checked twice daily to maintain and log by law. Unfortunately, the "ball" must have been acquired by a guest. The hot tub was eliminated to allow for the area to be turned into a guest laundry. I do apologize for the tub draining slowly but I find no request made to our front desk staff for service. The staff would have happily taken care of the situation for you. Please don't hesitate to let staff know that there is a problem so that they may take care of these issues immediately for your comfort. I am very glad that you enjoyed the new Brand hot breakfast. We have received great feedback on the hot items now included. We hope to see you again after our renovation has been completed.
