Stay was solo, six days / seven nights for fly fishing. As such, what I needed was secure clean facility, breakfast provided, easy for guide to reach (to pick me up), walking distance to restaurants, and airport shuttle (to avoid needless rental car).
Let's start with the last...shuttle service reliable and staff very helpful. My arrival time was later than the shuttle runs. Per instructions from staff, I called motel, and Hampton staff called taxi. Within minutes I was picked up, with taxi fare paid by Hampton Inn.
Location is a major plus, as pertains to easily finding and reaching motel, as its location (along with several others) is right off of the interstate.
Regrettably, the choice of restaurants for dinner, within an easy walk after a day of fishing, is somewhat limited. Delivery to motel, though, opens other options. Walmart, though, is almost across the street, which can prove handy.
Property, as other reviews would suggest, is showing its age. My single king room was large, with basic older, though not deteriorated, furnishings. Room, and common areas were clean.Breakfast area was kept neat and tidy. Food options are the usual, though happily few repeats of hot entrees during my seven-night stay.
Staff was superb !! Whether for information, conversation, or assistance, they were pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable. Clearly, this client-focused mindset, which can be quite hard to achieve, is the strongest point about this facility.
Value was almost missing. Unfortunately, this area, at this time of year, commands what I feel are unreasonably high prices. This is not just Hampton Inn, but all others I priced. Business being business, the motels charge what the market will bear. In short, it is what it is.
So, decide what you want, as well as what you are willing to accept, and if that is Hampton Inn, be assured of meeting and interacting with a great staff.
