“Lehrkind Bozeman”

This was our second visit to the Lehrikind. It was just as lovely this second trip as it was on our first. The Lehrkind is a lovely, serine B&B. The beds are comfortable, the neighborhood quite. Chris the proprietor is attentive. The breakfasts are truly delicious.

The location was perfect for our our long weekend visit and exploration of the town and surrounding areas. Room is tasteful, well appointed and private. Breakfasts were creative and tasty. The evidence is that each morning the guests sat around and visited with each other sharing tips and experiences. The inn keepers are truly passionate about the Lehrkind Mansion and being hosts to the many travelers. Their local knowledge is most helpful from hikes, local sights (must see), and first hand knowledge of evening out options.

Room Tip: Local freight train does come by in the distance but can impact light sleepers.

I needed a place to stay before heading out to Yellowstone. The Lehrkind was a wonderful stop. My bed was very comfortable and the claw foot tub was a real treat. Homemade muffins in the morning with a great omlete and fresh oj. I would love to go back someday and just marvel at the antiques and the beatiful gardens.

We love staying at B&Bs, and our overnights at Lehrkind Mansion ranked highest among them. Wonderful accommodations, friendly & helpful innkeepers (even at our 1am arrival), and oh, those yummy breakfasts! Chris was especially helpful and attentive to my special dietary request and provided recommendations for day hikes. We like new experiences, but in this case, we hope to stay at Lehrkind Mansion again on our next visit or stop in Bozeman.

We stayed at the Lehrkind Mansion B&B soley because we needed a particular location in Bozeman. All other suitable lodging was full. My wife and I are not B&B fans and strongly prefer to lodge with our family in a hotel or vacation rental. In fact this was the first time we have stayed in a B&B since having children over 14 years ago. Given this attitude we were apprehensive about our stay but turned out enjoying a quite pleasurable experience. Chris, the owner, went out of his way to accomodate us, particularly with respect to special needs for breakfast. He also made available a separate and private room for our teenage daughter. The rooms were well kept, clean, comfortable and located in the mansion itself. The extensive 30 year old National Geographic collection was appreciated. The grounds were nicely maintained and the location was "spot on" in an interesting residential neighborhood 0.6 miles from Main Street. We walked extensively around this neighborhood. We highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a top shelf B&B in Bozeman.

We stayed in Bozeman during the Sweet Pea Festival. The Mansion is walking distance to the Festival and all downtown activities. Our Hosts even served breakfast a little early so we all could go to the parade. I loved our room - comfort, furnishings, super clean, etc. Breakfast was great both mornings and our Hosts were awesome! One note of caution - the Mansion is only a few blocks from the train, so bring some ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Personally I love the sound of the train so it was perfect for me.

We also enjoyed the baby bunny in the front lawn!

Beautful Home in transitional (historic) neighborhood one half mile from Main St. Stayed in Garden House. Nice suite, but could use better furniture in sitting area. Fabulous breakfasts. Chris was a wealth of knowledge for assistance with our plans. We look forward to returning.

Room Tip: Garden House
