I had to ask what in the world this restaurant was doing in Bozeman Montana. The Saffron Table is a family owned and run restaurant, headed by a wonderful lady who was born in Pakistan and wanted to share her family recipes. I am so glad she did and you will be too.

Absolutely delicious and authentic east Indian cuisine with amazing flavors. Everything is locally produced and they even share the local farms they get their food from. Then it is wonderfully prepared to satisfy your taste buds and beautifully presented so it is also a feast for the eyes.

The restaurant is cozy with indoor and outdoor seating, outdoors is adorned with a gorgeous garden and indoors has lovely fireplaces in a converted old house. The service is impeccable and friendly. Reservations are highly recommended as The Saffron Table is busy and with food like this it will remain so. They are open Tuesday through Saturday 5pm to close. I tell you this because, you really need to get here and try this. But then you will be returning as will I.

See you there.

First off I think the food here was very good and those aspects that were not entirely typical to food in India were in my opinion, improvements (I have traveled to India several times the last time I stayed there 5 weeks). Saffron Table seems to use quality ingredients and puts a lot of care into the preparation of the dishes. The service was pleasant but just average in attentiveness.
The largest negative is the space, which is a bit sterile and very noisy. Everyone in there is shouting. There is nothing the restaurant can do about this, but it detracts from what would be a very pleasant meal.
Some dishes are rather small and in general the prices are right up against overpriced (not quite there but really close). Good wine selection for an Indian Restaurant. If you like Indian food, you should go.

Amazing Indian restaurant in Bozeman. Traditional Indian food with a twist makes for a memorable
meal. The lamb shank was the best I have ever had and appetizers were all very tasty. The garden patio is well designed and a pleasant area in which to enjoy dinner. Service was great as the staff is clearly very proud to be part of this new venture in Bozeman.

The outside patio is a beautiful garden area with new tables and sun shades. Service was great and the food was delicious. This was my first foray with Thai food and I enjoyed it.

The restaurant is elegantly designed by the owner's husband, I understand. Inside it is sleek and lovely and there is lots of outside seating in the garden. The food was delicious, started out with buns filled with lamb and various chutneys. We also had raw fish with a great fresh sauce. Nice wines, we first had a Rose and then a Semillon from Walla Walla. We had the lamb shoulder which was deliciously spiced and also the chicken curry, both great spices and not too hot. They were served with white basmati rice. We had lovely desserts, fresh sorbet and I had a lime pie with cardemon. The service was great and it was a delightful experience.
