After our family of 9 searched Trip Advisor for high-rated restaurants in the Bozeman area, we chose Montana Ale Works for their selection of beer and food...unfortunately OpenTable showed no availability on the day we were in town for our large group.
Fortunately, we were able to be seated quickly although we were walk-ins.

Having tasted nearly all of the dishes which were served at our table, I can attest to the fact that they were all fairly delicious!
Our service was prompt and drink prices were fair...all-in-all, a good experience!

Service was great as was the food. Pleasant atmosphere. Did not have a long wait to get our meal. We ate there twice during out stay.

We decided to give this a try and were not disappointed. Our server was a nice young guy and was helpful with menu suggestions. We were able to sit at the "free seating" area in the bar vs. waiting 40 minutes for a table. We didn't realize this was Montana State's move in weekend for freshman and the town was very busy. The chicken sandwich was to my wife's liking and I found my entree satisfying as well. It is big place but it gets busy. I had a Montana standard whiskey (not cheap) and it was good. Their standard pours seem generous. We would definitely go back if and when we visit Bozeman again.

Great place to just have a few drinks and a light lunch on the patio, or a great dinner in the restaurant. Wonderful building with all kinds of history. Former grain station, then warehouse, then bank building. Now, just a wonderful restaurant. Try the fish tacos!!!!!! Wait staff is awesome, which says a lot about the management.

This was our favorite restaurant/brewery during our entire trip. The interior is nicely done, the waiter was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and charming. I had the meatloaf--terrific. My friend had the burger, which he really enjoyed. The beer list, as you might expect, is excellent.
