“Shi-shi pizza, but not Italian”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 31, 2010

If you like pizza with ham, asparagus, pineapple, bean sprouts and tofu, this is the place for you. Californians, you'll feel right at home. Those who've had true Italian-style pizza, you're out of luck. They don't believe in real tomato sauce, onions, mushrooms, sausage, pepperoni and garlic at this place. Too plain, I guess. Folks out here pretty much don't like garlic and onions. Even the Chinese restaurants here serve yellow mustard and ketchup with their egg rolls, Ugh.

“If you want pizza you're in the wrong place.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 20, 2010

Avoid the generic pizza here. Nothing wonderful or original to be found at this chain restaurant. If you're hungry try the sandwiches, which aren't usually bad. If your like grease try the logdepole appetizers. Tasty fatness for sure. The salads here are pretty awful, with the notable exception of the chicken tortilla. Still, if you want a taste of Bozeman, try a restaurant that's not a chain with bad pizza like MacKenzie. You can do much better in this town.

“Good Pizza and Beer”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2009

We asked our hotel clerk where to go for the best pizza in town and he recommended Mackenzies. It was Friday night and the place was packed but we didn't have to wait for a table. We liked the thin crust and the toppings were fresh. They had a wide range of brews to choose from that went well with the pizza. Seemed to be a college student spot.

“Great Food, Great Service!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 7, 2009

We visited on the 4th of July while on a road trip. It was about 3:00 and the restaurant was closing at 4pm for the holiday so we expected to be rushed by the staff but we weren't. The service was wonderful - quick and attentive, but not at all rushed. The restaurant was very open so tables in the center area didn't have much privacy and people would be all around you, but we got a booth so it was better. The food was superb. We had a Greek salad, the Cottonwood pizza (fajita chicken), and a Special Pizza with Bison meat, mushrooms and asagio cheese, and one beer and the total before tip was $28.25 - Great prices. The small pizzas are individual size, but was more than enough for one person, they range from $8-9 and larges are $12-16. Overall it was a great meal, great staff and a great experience
