We had bison tender loin, very well prepared with blue cheese, asparragus and mashed potatoes. They have an enormous wine list and the interior is just like you'd like it to be in a town like Bozeman. Check it out!

“Just Plonk Yourself Down and Enjoy a Fine Evening”
Reviewed October 17, 2011

My wife and I have come here many times over the years that it has been open and we've always enjoyed ourselves. We've sat in just about every location and it's all great including the little patio out back. The wines are usually a pretty good value and the food is too; like over at "Tapas," you can order many varied small plates and share them. The atmosphere is more upscale and thus is refreshing in the sense that it is not a typical Bozeman establishment; in fact it "broke the mold" for the BoZone when it first opened and some thought it wouldn't last as it was reminiscent of a wine bar more befitting San Fran or Seattle. Well the whining quickly turned into wining and I don't think Plonk has ever looked back!

“No Reservation Required To Dine Under The Stars”
Reviewed September 1, 2011

When we first entered this eatery, we thought it was a mistake. We were told we could sit anywhere we wanted to, open seating? So we headed to open courtyard in the back we had spotted earlier that day and grabbed the last two seats available. It was packed and the wait staff was moving in all directions about 90 MPH. After 5 minutes I had pretty much decided this was going to be one of those "dining experiences" that took forever without a favorable result. But a waitress appeared, quickly served us our drinks and kept them adequately replenished during the evening. Our incredible appetizers and entrees were served in a timely manner. The stars were shining in a crystal clear Montana sky as we enjoyed a great meal!

Atmosphere is great. Always lively. Wine lining the walls. And one amazing multipage cheeze menu. I travel to Bozeman to eat here

“Great food, great wine, fun atmosphere”
Reviewed July 30, 2011

This has long been my "go to" restaurant when I'm looking for great food and great wine. The wine flights are always interesting, as are the many wines by the glass. The official wine list is top-flight and fairly priced. The menu is imaginative and always well prepared. The cheese plates are a perfect way to get things started. Service is always very good. The setting is casual and comfortable.
