This museum is full of amazing fossils. I was expecting it to be a bit larger, but it was still great. Loved seeing the shows in the planetarium.

Ever person in the group I was in had a great time. The ages were 4 to 47. We all had a great time and learn so many new things. The plaetarium had just reopened and it was a great show. The price was go for two days so you were able to come and go as the younger childern mihgt need to do, or go grab a bit to eat. All I seen to buy there was sna so the hour need to see and do can be divided as need,

We have a family membership and go a few times a month, even weekly sometimes. The permanent exhibits (dinosaurs, local history, Native American culture, geologic history) are interesting and easy to understand (a plus when you have kids). The changing exhibits are always fascinating, some really cool stuff has been here. The new planetarium is awesome. The kids room upstairs, is just like Yellowstone, with geysers (beware, they are pretty noisy and can scare some kids- my kids currently won't go up there to the "noisy room". I hope they get over this phase quickly because that room is one of my favorite parts of the museum), a "lodge" with dress up stuff, kitchen, table and "fireplace", a fishing bridge, camping gear, a lookout, a baby/toddler tumbling area, as well as educational stuff. The outdoor stuff is cool too- the Lewis & Clark trail and boat (my kids could play here all day) and the Tinsley House living history farm. In all, this is an amazing museum for being out west. Not nearly as big as the famous museums in NYC, etc, but totally worth a visit. NOTE: If you plan on visiting more than once, it is probably cheaper to buy a membership. $14/person or $50/two people/year or $75/family/year. 4 and under are free.
