a few changes since the last time, the yellowstone room is more of a daycare center now, was better before. the outside was closed for the winter, and nothing new in the rest of it, the price was a lot higher, we wont make a special trip to go back.

This excellent museum builds upon the work of great contributors including MSU's famous Dr. Jack Horner; the first paleontologist to dinosaur confirm the existance of egg hatching sites in North America. In this museum you'll find a great variety of "triceratops", "hadrasaur", "raptor" and largo dino-fossils alongside a good general history of the geology of the northern USA. Outside you'll find a great replica of a Tyrannosaur as well. The museum features a planetarium as well as spaces for kids. For a town the size of Bozeman, a museum like this is a treasure....world class! Don't miss it!

The exhibits at The Museum of the Rockies are always changing, it is a great place to take the family to learn more about our National Treasure, the Rocky Mountains.

Many small, natural history museums have limited displays, without much scientific or historical depth and are aimed primarily at children. That's not the case with respect to the Museum of the Rockies. It has a dinosaur exhibit which is one of the best in the world owing to the excellence of the Montana State University paleontology programs. (At each display, the clear, informative narrative provides a scholarly reference for those who may be interested. It's that good.) A couple of hours here will not be misspent.
