“Rainy day activity”

Foremost western museum with one of the best dinosaur displays and planetariums. Great place to take the kids or grandchildren on a rainy day.

“Dinosaurs!”

They have a very large collection of fossils and their traveling exhibits are always very interesting. Very good for out of towners might be a little stale for the locals

“Really good museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 2, 2013

Excellent interpretations and exhibits on the geology and dinosaur activity in the West, focused on Montana. There are also exhibits of Native American artifacts, culture, and the settling of the West. We were there for the final day of a special exhibit of furniture and other items created by master Montanan woodworkers - really handsome. The movie on Yellowstone Park is also worth watching.

“Kids (and parents) will love it!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 31, 2013

Many of the displays are huge (i.e. very entertaining for kids). We especially liked the extensive Triceratop displays.

A very unique kid's play area with a mix of stuff for the smaller kids as well as things for slightly older kids (8-9).

Overall, plenty to see/do/enjoy for a full 1/2 day or more.
