A great deal for white water rafting and zip lining. Prepare to get wet and walk shaky rope bridges. Test your metal. For all ages (we had ages 7 - 74).

Any trip to Montana will be filled with great scenery, but the Gallatin Canyon is the most enjoyable drive with the greatest attractions. Looking for great fishing? Then this is the place, whether you fish along the lower stretches or inside Yellowstone park boundaries it is pleasurable. Some great ranches to stop at for accomodations and horse back rides. Many great hiking trails begin here and take you inside Yellowstone. And there is Big Sky ski resort and ultimately you end up at West Yellowstone, best small town around Yellowstone. If you only visit one part of the area around Yellowstone, make it your stop. Early in the spring and later in fall are the best times to enjoy.

The Gallatin is a picturesqueness mountain river that flows through some of the most gorgeous terrain in Montana. It is one of the best year round trout fisheries & considered a blue ribbon fly fishing river.

During peak flow, it overs good rafting and kayaking opportunities.

The communities around the Gallatin are all worth checking out too. Plan on spending time in Yellowstone, Big Sky, and Bozeman. Keep in mind there is tons outdoor recreation in close proximity to the Gallatin from start to finish.

Beautiful! Great fishing... Great to sit and read or wade - even some places to swim

It is a wild, beautiful river that begins as a trickle either in or near the Yellowstone Park and continues it journey to join the Missouri ambling past Bozeman. The most gorgeous stretch is displayed as it tumbles through the Gallatin Canyon, between Yellowstone and Bozeman. The drive is a breathless treat.
