As we turned off the gravel road it was about 6:30 pm and dark but our headlights caught several deer feeding on each side of the road leading to the Lodge. We enetred to be greeted by a roaring fire place. To the right was a cozy dining room/bar combination. We were seated by a widow and greeted by our waitress who was very efficient as well as very friendly. We had an excellent bottle of wine which was acompanied by a delicious hummus and fresh french bread. I had the blue cheese salad which was excellent and my wife had the house salad which she described as delicious. My main course was the filet which was served with a delicious sauce and to die for mashed potatoes. My wife ordered the salmon which was perfectly prepared. All in all it was a delightful experience and one we would highly recommend. You should make reservations and I would suggest you request a table in the bar area. Prices are reasonable for a fine dining establishment-$34 for a great steak and $30 for a delicious piece of salmon. Wine prices are very reasonable. This is not a place to bring 2 footers/small children. If you are in Bozeman you should make it a point to dine here.
