we ate lunch there and the food was good.we had the smoked trout blt which was very good.we asked the female manager or owner if they smoked the trout in house.she said yes.as we left to go to our car the chef was standing at the back door and i asked him about the smoked trout.unfortunately he gave us another version of how it was smoked.somewhere else.it was still good but the owner or manager should either know what is going on in her kitchen or not fabricate the truth about it.our server was totally inept.we felt like we were an inconvenience to her.rush,rush,rush.she actually pulled an appetizer plate while my lady friend was still dipping her beef in the sauce.she scooped it so fast that i didn't have a chance to stop her..one final thing about the server, her apron was filthy.yuk!!! i know the restaurant has only been open for eight months and the owner's looked young, but they should realize that good food is usually forgotten when the service is as bad as we received..

Benson's is located in the heart of downtown Billings in a restored farm house that for years housed George Henry's, a long-time Billings "institution." The food is exceptional and it is an incredible value for the price. Generously portioned and perfectly cooked entrees in the mid-$20s. The menu is varied with a wide-range of fresh seafood, beef, bison, and pasta from which to choose. Beautiful salads that are chilled perfectly, outstanding soups (mia amore and I had a smoked cheese soup one evening that was simply off the charts), a great selection of appetizers, and killer desserts. Try the croissant bread pudding; you won't be disappointed. Service was fast and friendly and the ambiance is intimate, romantic, and charming. This is Billings newest and one of its finest restaurants.

Just ate at Benson's it's a new restaurant in town. Atmosphere is great for that special occasion for two. Setting is in an old house so the eating areas are seperate and quiet. Not too kid friendly no childrens menu or things that little ones would like to eat. Price is moderate to high for this area. Presentation is great and meal was filling. No liquor license yet but should be by December. Overall a good place to go once in awhile.

Excellent service, food, and atmosphere. The pheasant is to die for and the prime rib was the best I've had.

We had a wonderful evening here, celebrating an anniversary. We used to come to this
location when we wanted good food and a quiet dining experience. That had not changed..
the food was well prepared & plated, the service could not have been better. I have always
loved the decor of the previous establishment and was pleased that it was even better...reminiscent
of our years in New England. Thank you Benson's for a beautiful come-back to our downtown
dining.
